SmallwoodDR82anyway to set free space for mythbuntu without having the mythtv frontend? i installed backend only and have no way of making that setting.  (from what I can see)03:52
Hydr0p0nXthe backend setup should have an option03:56
Hydr0p0nXgeneral -> page 2 or 3 has a "Auto Expire Free Disk Space Threshold(in Gigabytes)" setting, according to http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/User_Manual:TV_Settings#Global_Auto_Expire_Settings03:58
SmallwoodDR82hmmm lemme check...04:02
SmallwoodDR82i think that's on the frontend....i don't see Auto Expire at all on the backend settings04:04
Hydr0p0nXwhat version are you running ?04:07
SmallwoodDR82is it the bindings version you are looking for?04:10
SmallwoodDR82if so, 0.25.0.104:11
Hydr0p0nXit maybe in the frontend ... I thought it was in the backend though04:18
Hydr0p0nXi'm on 0.26 right now so can't look to say for sure, I know in 0.27 the wiki says it's a frontend setting04:19
SmallwoodDR82i don't even know how to update to 0.2604:20
SmallwoodDR82my update manager pops up all the time (with 200+ security updates) but everytime I run it mythbuntu crashes.04:21
SmallwoodDR82however, i don't see anything in there relating to mythtv....just all ubuntu stuff04:21
Hydr0p0nXopen the mythbuntu control center04:24
SmallwoodDR82k04:25
Hydr0p0nXone of the options is repositories or something04:25
SmallwoodDR82im there04:25
Hydr0p0nXshould be a drop down that says 0.2504:25
Hydr0p0nXclick the drop down and you should see 0.2604:25
Hydr0p0nXdepending on the mythbuntu version, you may see 0.27 and/or 0.28 also04:25
SmallwoodDR82says .25....when i change to .26 and hit refresh it goes grayed out again04:26
Hydr0p0nXchange to 0.26 click apply04:27
Hydr0p0nXthen you should be able to do a normal update and have it grab the myth updates04:27
Hydr0p0nXif that's not working, you may need to apply outstanding patches first04:28
SmallwoodDR82should i be able to apply all outstanding patches no matter what?04:28
SmallwoodDR82last time i tried i smoked my entire build and i had to start over lol04:28
Hydr0p0nXoh wow04:28
Hydr0p0nXwhat release are you on?04:29
SmallwoodDR82i downloaded the mythbuntu installer....installed mythbuntu....literally changed nothing....tried to bring it up to date and it crashed (this was like my 3rd attempted at it...) so i gave up and turned updates off =p04:31
Hydr0p0nXwhat version did you install ?04:32
Hydr0p0nX12.04?04:32
SmallwoodDR82yea04:32
SmallwoodDR8264 bit04:32
Hydr0p0nXwhen you say crashed04:35
Hydr0p0nXthe update installer crashed ? kernel paniced? something else?04:35
Hydr0p0nXI had an issue with the update installer appeared to hang, I ended up rebooting after that the update completed04:37
SmallwoodDR82looks like mine is hanging right now04:37
SmallwoodDR82i pushed 4 mythtv updates04:37
SmallwoodDR82only 24 mbs04:37
SmallwoodDR82the apply changes screen is still showing but all white04:38
Hydr0p0nXthat's what happened to me04:38
SmallwoodDR82so just reboot?04:38
SmallwoodDR82and continue pushing updates at it?04:38
Hydr0p0nXreboot, re-run the update check and it should prompt to do a partial update or something04:38
SmallwoodDR82ok04:38
Hydr0p0nXonce that finishes you should be good04:38
Hydr0p0nXi gotta get to bed but, that should get you passed the current issue ...04:39
Hydr0p0nXalso, #mythtv-users for mythtv specific questions, it's more active04:39
SmallwoodDR82ok thanks!04:39
