pietro10Hi. I installed the weekly Kubuntu trusty-desktop-i386.iso in Virtualbox (to test cross-compiling because I have nothing but problem trying to mix multiarch and Go), and I notice it seems to be installing the tablet interface by default, not the desktop interface. I didn't have this problem with a 13.10 ISO. What can I do to get it to install the desktop version of KDE? Thanks.01:19
pietro10actually have to head home; will ask again later01:23
yofelpietro10: if you mean the netbook interface, your screen resolution might've been too small during install:01:23
yofelyou can switch to desktop from system settings -> workspace behaviour -> workspace01:24
pietro10oh01:24
pietro10actually my screen resolution was rather large during install01:24
pietro10it was /after/ install tha t itw as small again01:24
pietro10but if I can swithc like that then sure, thanks01:24
yofelcould've happened at first boot too, not sure when the type is set01:25
pietro10update: kde automatically switches to the desktop interface once the virtualbox guest video drivers are installed and the screen resolution can be proeperly auto-changed02:33
vectory_hi, is 14.04 still open for packages?03:05
vectory_i.e. there is a horribly outdated package of a game and that game will receive an update soon03:05
Stanley00vectory_: it's now FeatureFreeze, so that game may need to wait...03:09
Stanley00vectory_: by the way, what's that game?03:09
ChogyDanis it possible to install systemd?03:22
rohanare people seeing a lot of rendering bugs on intel after the latest update?03:27
rohanmy dmesg is full of things like "drm stuck on render ring" and so on03:27
tgm4883_Is there a historical list of what has been uploaded to the trusty archives?03:55
geniitgm4883_: Try the trusty changes mailing list archives04:09
geniitgm4883_: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/trusty-changes/04:10
tgm4883_genii, thanks, I'll take a look. I don't suppose there are old dailies kept anywhere04:11
geniitgm4883_: That I'm not sure of, but probably not04:12
tgm4883_genii, yea I didn't see any in my searching. I'll take a look at the list. Thanks04:13
geniitgm4883_: Yer welcome04:13

attraperevesIs there an alternate link for daily builds? The CDimage Ubuntu site downloads fairly slow for me.04:57
Beldarattrapereves, use zsync04:58
Beldar!zsync04:58
ubottuUse zsync to update your Ubuntu CD image without needing to download the parts that didn't change. See https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ZsyncCdImage04:58
attraperevesBeldar, as I do not have any previous images, won't the download run at the same speed?04:59
attraperevesThe ISO is currently only downloading at 230KB/s04:59
Beldarattrapereves, might be the servers just running slow, not sure the general speed.05:00
attraperevesAre there any other mirrors for downloading the daily builds?05:00
BeldarNot sure, I doubt it though.05:01
BeldarI get about 500MB with the 64 bit iso05:03
BeldarER KB05:03
attraperevesCurrently running at 260KB/s05:03
attraperevesWith torrents I usually get 1MB+05:04
BeldarNot really a fair comparison, totally different context05:04
attraperevesWith wget, is there any way to resume an ISO download?05:06
Beldarattrapereves, zsync should read it and finish the download05:08
