I've had to go back to 3.5.0-44 in order to get my computer booted. Would like to know how to properly file a bug report or perhaps find one already open for my problem. [14:25] marvin24: i though the outcome of that discussion was: this patch is gonna enter enter 3.15 and we are going to move unstable to 3.15 ASA it's out, so... [14:25] marvin24: IIRC [14:26] ppisati: I'm not sure what happens with unstable [14:26] my guess was it becomes stable at some point [14:26] thus keeping version 3.14 [14:26] marvin24: nope [14:26] marvin24: unstable it's just a sandbox right now [14:27] marvin24: i mean, yeah, it's going to be the stable branch in the future (for U) [14:27] ah, maybe you can still apply it, because I want to play with the kernel package (and the installer) [14:27] marvin24: but wasn't your patch entering upstream? [14:27] yes, but only in 3.15 [14:27] if ubuntu every releases a 3.14 kernel for trusty, I want to make sure that this patch is in [14:28] not sure how to accomplish this ... [14:30] marvin24: nope [14:30] marvin24: we'll never release a 3.14 kernel for T [14:31] marvin24: unstable will go to 3.15, maybe .16, etcetc and at some point we'll say "ok, U will release with this version" and it'll become the U kernel [14:37] ppisati: ok, thanks for explanation [14:38] I think I'll apply it locally then and play with it a bit later === caribou_ is now known as caribou [15:59] Where are Ubuntu kernel bugs filed? === edamato is now known as edu-afk === jibel_ is now known as jibel === pgraner` is now known as pgraner
