lordievaderGood morning.08:27
Riddellmorning lordievader 09:09
Riddellso blue http://qa.kubuntu.co.uk/ninjas-status/build_status_4.12.90_trusty.html09:13
yofelRiddell: what happened to the rest though? https://launchpad.net/~kubuntu-ninjas/+archive/ppa/+packages?field.series_filter=trusty&batch=250 has lots of 4.12.8009:16
Riddellyofel: my laptop suspended when I went to sleep, uploading now09:17
yofelheh09:17
seaLneshadeslayer: is there going to be firefox-kde integration in trusty? i really miss it since upgrading09:26
RiddellseaLne: since upgrading from what? I don't think it's been in the archive for some years09:28
seaLnehttps://launchpad.net/~blue-shell/+archive/firefox-kde09:29
lordievaderHey Riddell, how are you doing?09:30
RiddellseaLne: ah hah, yeah poke shadeslayer for that09:30
cortexA9hello09:51
lordievaderHey cortexA9 09:51
lordievaderHow are you doing?09:51
cortexA9fine thanks and you lordievader ?09:51
lordievaderDoing good :)09:52
cortexA9lordievader: u tried 4.12.90?09:52
lordievaderWasn't 4.12.80 the latest version in the ninja ppa?09:53
yofeldid someone review the kdepim changes scarlett did for 4.12.80?09:53
cortexA9oh yea sry lordievader 09:54
cortexA9http://qa.kubuntu.co.uk/ninjas-status/build_status_4.12.90_trusty.html09:54
yofel.90 isn't even built yet ^^09:54
lordievaderHehe, cortexA9 I've tried it very lightly. Konsole works fine :)09:55
Mamarokshadeslayer: about bug 1285729: the isuse is that your Amarok is not built against libav, not enough to just install the packages, it needs to be built against it. I guess the person who made the package did build against ffmpeg, blindly following the README and not considering that Ubuntu doesn't use ffmpeg09:58
ubottubug 1285729 in amarok (Ubuntu) "amarok needs to build-depend on libav packages for transcode support" [Medium,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/128572909:58
Mamaroktranscoding works fine if the package is built correctly09:58

cortexA9anyone tried KF5?10:07
yofelRiddell: did something happen to kwalletmanager? The branch is still on 4.12.8010:33
tsdgeossome of stuff on 4.11.2 still? http://paste.ubuntu.com/7089408/10:40
yofeltsdgeos: could be that it was never updated to .3, and 4.13 isn't in the archive yet10:42
tsdgeosyofel: there's lots of 4.11.3 stuff, wonder why those are on .210:42
tsdgeosand when i say 4.11 i mean 4.12 :D10:42
yofelok, l10n is at .2, kdeplasma-addons .3 is stuck in -proposed10:43
yofelbecause ppc64el didn't build -.-**10:44
Riddellyofel: yes something did although I couldn't work out what10:53
RiddellScottK: remember bug 129189910:55
ubottubug 1291899 in kde4libs (Ubuntu) "Feature Freeze exception for KDE SC 4.13" [Undecided,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/129189910:55
sgclarkRiddell: new release for 4.13? alot of blues lol11:00
yofelsgclark: why did you move the akonotes widgets from kjots to knotes?11:00
sgclarkyofel: they had notes in name, if that was wrong sorry11:02
Riddellsgclark: yep all new http://qa.kubuntu.co.uk/ninjas-status/build_status_4.12.90_trusty.html11:02
yofelheh, they belong to kjots so I moved them again11:02
soeeok so we have this notification about missing locales, fine but i would like to know what it is going ton install :/ It asks for password and than downloading some file and you dont know what it is 11:02
yofelthe rest looks... ~fine I think11:02
Riddellsoee: I pointed out the same issue, if you catch it at the right time qapt does tell you what it's installing but for some reason not all the time11:03
sgclarkyofel: ok, noted, thank you. 11:03
yofelhm, storageservicemanager doesn't breaks korganizer I think11:03
yofelor did you move any files from there? the version would be wrong too11:03
soeeRiddell: well i catched it when after download it was processing11:03
soeebut i would like to know this before i enter password11:03
Riddellsoee: yep, file a bug and I'll milestone it11:04
yofelsgclark: ah, and on akonotes: if you move files between packages you always need to add appropriate breaks/replaces, or dpkg will likely error out during update11:04
sgclarkyofel: ok, that was my first package of that size. Learning curve moment. storageservicemanager should not break anything. Will not move files again without more research, my apologies11:06
soeeRiddell: kde bugs ?11:06
yofele.g.:11:06
yofelUnpacking knotes (4:4.12.80-0ubuntu1~ubuntu14.04~ppa4) over (4:4.12.3-0ubuntu1) ...11:06
yofeldpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/knotes_4%3a4.12.80-0ubuntu1~ubuntu14.04~ppa4_amd64.deb (--unpack):11:06
yofel trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/kde4/plasma_applet_akonotes_note.so', which is also in package kjots 4:4.12.3-0ubuntu111:06
yofeldpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe)11:06
sgclarkgotcha11:07
Riddellanyone know why the smoke packages don't use dhmk? but unsatisfying they don't report lintian and list-missing et al11:07
yofelnot quite sure, I think I once tried to make the bindings use dhmk which... proved difficult for some reason11:08
yofelcan't remember11:08
yofelsgclark: can I remove the breaks/replaces from storageservicemanager? I don't think they're needed11:08
Riddellsoee: on kde-runtime in launchpad I think11:08
sgclarkyofel: yes please, should not be there11:09
* Riddell spots qt 5.2 in -proposed https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qtbase-opensource-src11:09
RiddellMirv: how come it's stuck in proposed? I thought you had enough QA and copying process that it'll not get stuck at all?11:10
* yofel ponders akonadi_notes_agent11:10
yofelIt *seems* like knotes is using it, even if the rest of the akonotes stuff is part of kjots, which seems... weird o.O11:11
MirvRiddell: it was manually blocked. and there was still a couple of powerpc/arm64/ppc64el that colin approved to be skipped http://irclogs.ubuntu.com/2014/03/14/%23ubuntu-ci-eng.html#t01:5711:13
BluesKajHowdy folks11:13
Mirvthe manual block is just being removed, it was just made to ensure it can be monitored what happens when 117 source packages and 8GB of debs get pushed11:14
sgclarkyofel: laurent did a bunch of work on knotes, with akonadi to share note between computers etc.11:14
RiddellMirv: 117! crivvens11:15
* yofel competes with kde sc, 170!11:15
Mirvyofel: :D11:15
yofelsgclark: that's sweet. I guess then putting them together for now makes sense11:16
yofelkjots without knotes needs testing though11:16
soeeRiddell: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kde-runtime/+bug/129247111:17

kubotu::runtime-bugs:: [1292471] Missing locale notification does not inform about package @ https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1292471 (by Marcin SÄ…gol)12:10
ghostcubehi folks, kdeconnect can use the phone inside dolphin to explore the files on the phone12:41
soee_mYUP12:42
ghostcubethis is available inside the last git afaik. but it seems the kio binary to handle this isnt included inside the kde package. the package 0.50 from the ppa doesnt show the files on the phone12:42
ghostcubeut it has the dolphin entry for it12:42
ghostcubehttp://albertvaka.wordpress.com/2013/08/05/introducing-kde-connect/#comment-92912:43
ghostcubethe kubuntu package includes the locale files for the kio but not the kio itself12:48
ScottKRiddell: I asked questions in the FFe bug.13:06
RiddellcortexA9: I wouldn't today, it's got beta 2 compiling away13:35
Riddellbits of green appearing :) http://qa.kubuntu.co.uk/ninjas-status/build_status_4.12.90_trusty.html13:36
cortexA9hehe cool Riddell 13:36
Riddellghostcube: it's set not to compile by upstream in 0.513:36
ghostcubeok13:37
Riddellapachelogger: seen "[kde-frameworks-devel] Plasma Next - Translations KCM - What Languages?" ?  you might want to suggest distro hooks for the stuff kubuntu adds13:42
soee_Riddell: what is it 4.12.90 ?13:55
Riddellsoee_: how do you mean?14:12
soee_Riddell: we just have had 4.12.80 and there is already .90 ?14:21
Riddellsoee_: shortened release schedule for the SC14:24
RiddellvHanda: have you decided on a way to do the baloo migration or is that for distros to work out?14:25
vHandaRiddell: no, I've been busy, but if it is possible via the kconf update mechanism that you mentioned, then I'll do that.14:27
vHandaI'll inform you both ways14:27
soee_hmm kmail freezez when checking inbox and local folders, than after minute or so works fine14:33
yofelthe whole UI freezes or it just takes a while to show the mails?14:49
ScottKsoee_: Check top when that's happening and I'm pretty sure you'll find nepomuk is eating your CPU.14:52
RiddellScottK: ah but now nepomuk isn't used by kontact15:06
ScottKOK.15:12
yofelif it's mails showing up delayed then I usually have a mysql process and/or an akonaidserver process that does *something*15:16
yofeland I'm not even using nepomuk here15:16
yofelwith sqlite it's akonadiserver/akondi_imap_resource using up ~200% CPU for a few seconds to list a folder with ~12k mails15:18
ScottKYeah.  I have that too.15:18
Riddelldpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/knotes_4%3a4.12.80-0ubuntu1~ubuntu14.04~ppa4_amd64.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/kde4/plasma_applet_akonotes_note.so', which is also in package kjots 4:4.12.3-0ubuntu115:25
Riddellsgclark, yofel: did you fix that one?15:25
yofelI moved those files back, they belong to kjots15:25
yofelit's a ninjas-only error though15:26
Riddellgotcha15:26
cortexA9Riddell: can't you add me to the ninjas?15:26
RiddellcortexA9: you just have to know the secret apt line, msg'ed15:28
cortexA9hehe thanks Riddell 15:28
cortexA9i check thanks15:28
RiddellcortexA9: testing welcomed especially on bits that use baloo like dolphin file search and kmail search15:28
yofelwhat was that magic nepomuk migration thingy again?15:29
cortexA9oh nice man 4.12.90 included Riddell 15:33
yofelwell, pieces of it15:33
yofelyay, qt 5.2 pieces appearing in -release \o/15:34
Riddellyofel: usr/bin/nepomukmigrator  (but it was missed out of 4.12.90 ~ppa115:37
yofelah, I'll wait then15:38

soee_ScottK: i changed a bit my mail server configuration i kmail and now it seems to communicate without any problems so kmail start as it should15:58
soee_*communicates with mail server15:59
sgclarkIs kalgebra only proving mobile version on purpose? seems kalgebra binary has been removed, seems odd16:11
yofelhttp://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kalgebra.git&a=commit&h=f97018ef87aef2dd6e40f4d62a88aad90f2ccf38 looks rather incomplete....16:17

ScottKyofel: Means the file is non-free and needs to be removed.20:48
yofelwell, it's now a script that asks you a license question and then downloads a 3rd party file from the internet. That's something for multiverse right?20:48
yofelthough it probably doesn't make sense to make a package for that one file and demote that to multiverse20:49
yofelScottK: http://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kate.git&a=blob&h=66550191bcb8e5343f80dab6b448d92e51da53a8&hb=1c2eb8603a4bac2790b69c71f74d6716ef947db4&f=addons%2Fkate%2Fpate%2Fsrc%2Fplugins%2Fjs_utils%2Fjs_lint.py20:51
