knomezequence, i have merged your changes to main, should have a new release shortly15:37
zequenceknome: You mean, the slide show?15:47
knomezequence, yep, that16:09
zequenceknome: Thanks16:36
OvenWerk1zequence: redoing the installer from scratch. I found that the basic python gui (package python-tk, AKA tkinter) is supposed to be a part of a basic install. (kde doesn't of course) It seems more than one of our packages requires it anyway. I was going to rewrite in python using that for the gui, but it pulls in tcl/tk anyway... which I happen to know well.18:16
OvenWerk1So I am doing it that way as a next step. The gui is much more flexable than zenity and it seems KDE doesn't ship that anyway.18:17
OvenWerk1Anyway, first I will do tcl/tk, then work on porting to python-tk and finally port from there to python-qt as qt seems to be emerging as the most cross DE/platform and if not certainly many of our apps use it so the user will be installing it anyway.18:20
zequenceOvenWerk1: The plugin in lp:ubuntustudio-live has a nice way of selecting packages18:21
zequenceOvenWerk1: You should look it up. You toggle packages from our metas.18:22
zequenceIn a tree structure18:22
OvenWerk1Can it be run from an already installed other DE system?18:22
zequenceWould be a nice addition18:22
zequenceIt's python code, so you can put it in any python app18:22
zequenceTake out the important bits only, of course18:22
OvenWerk1which gui did you use?18:23
zequenceThe plugin uses the ubiquity gui, with a GTK part18:23
zequenceit doesn't have a standalone gui18:23
zequencethe interesting part of it is the tree-view function and selecting packages from our metas that way18:23
OvenWerk1"it" meaning python?18:23
OvenWerk1I am looking at an installer for adding studio/media creation SW to other DEs. While many of our apps do use gtk, it is kind of a lot to load just for an installer. KDE doesn't come with gtk libs by default and lxde is heading away from them too.18:29
OvenWerk1unity and touch is becomeing more QT oriented as well.18:30
zequenceOvenWerk1: it meaning the plugin18:44
OvenWerk1Sounds interesting. zequence I had thought it was just for installing whole metas, but being able to pick and choose is nice. Can the user do a "select all" for any one meta as well?18:48
OvenWerk1zequence: Has our settings been uploaded? It seems to me I did some changes some time ago that do not seem to be in the ISO. We should take a look through our packages and check for non-uploaded packages.18:53
OvenWerk1Entangle should be in the photography menu not graphics.18:54
zequenceOvenWerk1: All packages that I have made changes in have bug reports and are up for FFe or UIFe review19:12
zequencewhat changes?19:12
zequenceOvenWerk1: Can't see any commits of yours for since last year19:13
zequenceOvenWerk1: Yes, you can select the whole meta, or single packages in it19:13
zequenceAll of the packages that need upload are in the sponsors queue19:13
zequencehttp://reqorts.qa.ubuntu.com/reports/sponsoring/19:14
OvenWerk1zequence: let me check, I thought I had changed default-settings20:00
OvenWerk1zequence: sorry, try lp:ubuntustudio-menu20:04
OvenWerk1I will put in a bug report20:04
zequenceOvenWerk1: make sure to subscribe ubuntu-release and ubuntu-sponsors20:11
OvenWerk1Bug #129535420:36
ubottubug 1295354 in ubuntustudio-menu (Ubuntu) "[FFe] Menu item for entangle is in the wrong sub menu" [Undecided,Fix committed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/129535420:36
OvenWerk1zequence: Ok, I think.20:39
zequenceOvenWerk1: Yep. It's in the sponsors queue now20:57
zequenceOvenWerk1: I also linked the bug with the branch21:07
OvenWerk1I knew I forgot something.23:52
