brainwashslickymaster: you should also add a comment and explain how you were able to reproduce the bug00:00
brainwashit looks like we can blame file systems which don't support the fancy extended attributes00:02
slickymasterok brainwash 00:08
brainwashslickymaster: is bug 1190299 still around?00:18
ubottubug 1190299 in thunar (Ubuntu) "thunar crashed with SIGSEGV in g_type_check_instance_cast()" [Medium,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/119029900:18
brainwashprobably caused by thunar's tree view00:18
slickymasternopes brainwash 00:19
brainwashcan you please update the status of the report then00:20
* slickymaster can't even remember the steps that lead to that one00:20
brainwashhit super+f? :D00:20
slickymasterlol00:21
brainwashwe got so many thunar reports, a high percentage of them are segfaults :/00:21
slickymasterdo you mean to mark it as Invalid?00:21
brainwashmark it as incomplete00:21
slickymasterok00:22

brainwashochosi: bug 129590000:50
ubottubug 1295900 in xorg (Ubuntu) "lubuntu screen corruption only on cold boot." [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/129590000:50
brainwashmaybe related to our lightdm gtk greeter bug00:52
AussieDownUnderOi bros & hoes. When is some new ubuntu/xubuntu flyers coming out. I want to put some updated ones up & around the place.05:16
AussieDownUnderWould like to see some flyers designed to be foldable to put in info board holder/pocket/pigeon hole things.05:17
* fibz_ pokes zequence: the image on the xubuntu.org homepage is a bit worrisome06:11
fibz_take a look at the clock on all the new official screenshots?06:15
NoskcajWhy doesn't xubuntu support internet time by default?07:03
Unit193fibz_: Wow, alright.07:47
aussiehomebrewerAnybody know the name of the bottom dockbar that was in the 14.04 pre-release? The one that got taken out09:45
ochosiaussiehomebrewer: that was only another xfce panel09:50
ochosiwith a few launchers on it09:50
ochosijust add a new panel, make it height 48px, add a few launchers and set it to autohide, that's it09:50
aussiehomebrewerFiiiine, let's do all the things that you want to do.10:15
aussiehomebrewerNah cheers, I can't believe I didn't work that out myself10:15
aussiehomebrewerEveryday I learn how much I don't know or how intelligent I'm not10:15
aussiehomebrewerIs there anyway to change a live usb to allow the live sessions to be saved? I know when I made the live usb it gave me an option for setting a size for saving the session data but I said no10:19
ali1234just make it again10:20
aussiehomebrewerYeah, I'll have to once the full release is out anyway10:21
ali1234anyway, the answer is no because it modifies the partitions before writing them if you ask for session saving10:24
=== fibz_ is now known as XRS1
ochosibrainwash: don't think that bug is related to ours, ours only happened with nouveau afaik11:03
ochosianything is possible with graphics drivers though...11:11
forestpiskieochosi: I don't see the corruption with nvidia installed11:12
ochosiyeah, me neither11:12
ochosiit's a nouveau-specific issue11:12
forestpiskieyep11:12
ochosithe bug is even still assigned to nouveau :)11:12
forestpiskie:)11:12
ochosianyway, taking off for the day11:13
elfyhave a good one - I've just got up :)11:13
elfyknome: just followed fibz clue to look at the screenshots at xubuntu.org - did you know that Friday gets shortened to Sex ... 11:25
zoidberg_hi there11:29
elfyhello11:29
zoidberg_i have experienced something strange when updating to 14.04 beta11:29
=== XRS1 is now known as `Fibz
zoidberg_i had the network-manager deinstalled, and wicd installed. After the update something was disabling my wifi via rfkill soft-block, i solved this problem by installing the network manager again and deinstalling wicd, i'm not sure what caused the problem, i believe that it has something todo with the Network Manager, and not really with wicd.11:31
elfynjo idea I'm afraid 11:31
zoidberg_because with disabled wicd and only wpa_supplicant it didn't work and with wicd disabled and airmon it didn't work11:32
zoidberg_hm maybe i should write a bug report... i thought maybe someone would know that issue, making the writing of a bug report unnecessary :-)11:33
brainwashzoidberg_: I suggest that you also ask in #ubuntu+111:33
elfyif someone knew then it would be a bug and then we'd know :)11:33
elfybrainwash: +1 to that11:33
brainwashTumblerdwatcher v 1.0 - http://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=872211:38
brainwashwhat the heck11:38
brainwashbut it's true, tumbler isn't working properly sometimes11:42
brainwasheating memory, segfaulting,..11:42
brainwashochosi: what do you think, should add more debugging output to the greeter?11:45
brainwashfor future releases11:45
brainwashit won't hurt11:46
knomeelfy, yes...11:49
elfyok :)11:51
knomewe will replace them for T11:59
knomeso i don't think it's a huge problem11:59
elfyokey doke11:59
elfyI'd not noticed myself11:59
starratsHello everyone and good morning!12:18
pleia2good morning12:19
knomeelfy, pleia2: do we want to write a spec of what kind of screenshots we want for T on the website so we don't need to do that on the rush?12:21
starratsI had to send a bug report to ubuntu-bug on terminal about 30 minutes ago concerning a software.db.update, the output told me to file a bug report so I did.12:21
brainwashstarrats: that's a known warning, it pops up every time the software center package is upgraded12:29
brainwashthanks for your report, I'll try to find the initial report12:30
elfyknome: possibly would be an idea - though on the other hand, simple, uncluttered, whatever cc licence doesn't appear to me to be requiring one12:47
knomemmh12:59
knomebbl13:00
starratsbrainwash I got an email from the ubuntu bug report folks, can't remember his name but he said it wasd a 'regression' and the initial bug report # is 1161283 or at least that was on the email.13:07
brainwashstarrats: yes, it was me who replied to your report :)13:09
starratsaah so you are .....lol can't remember 13:10
starratsokay thank you13:10
brainwashif you open the linked report and read the latest comments, you will see that more people noticed this warning while upgrading packages in trusty13:10
starratsso it's a 'normal' thing/error that shows up?13:11
starratsah okay brainwash13:11
brainwashno, the warning should not appear anymore, but strangely it does in trusty13:11
starratsah okay but it show up and I did what it said to do.  What should I do if it shows up again when I do my update/upgrades?13:16
brainwashcheck the linked report for bug status changes13:19
brainwashand comments13:19
starratsah okay will do13:20
brainwashin the meantime just ignore this warning13:20
starratsokay will do13:22
starratsread some of te comments earlier and just a few minutes ago, so I understand13:23

brainwashNoskcaj: please change the importance level to 'wishlist' bug 78254921:31
ubottubug 782549 in xfce4-panel (Ubuntu) "Workspace switcher background is not transparent" [Low,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/78254921:31
Noskcajbrainwash, You really need some triage rights21:31
brainwashand you need upload rights :P21:32
brainwashjoking :D21:32
brainwashI really should write the application21:32
Noskcajbrainwash, DON'T EVEN!21:33
Noskcaj;)21:33
Noskcajbut yeah, bug triage is pretty easy to get21:33
brainwashI'm just afraid of seeing all the hidden/private reports21:33
Noskcajbrainwash, in xfce there's not that many21:34
brainwashthere are so many lp bug reports, even more on the Xfce bug tracker21:36
brainwashit somehow feels like development is slowing down21:37
brainwashNoskcaj: so, do you plan to also patch libxfce4ui?21:39
brainwashto fix the help button is applications like thunar21:40
NoskcajI forgot about that one, doing now21:41
brainwashgreat21:43
Noskcajbrainwash, Could you try and find which packages use xfce_dialog_show_help_with_version() ? bug 1289755 says they will need rebuilding21:46
ubottubug 1289755 in libxfce4ui (Ubuntu) "Wrong shlibs" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/128975521:46
brainwashmmh21:48
brainwashshould be quite a few packages21:49
brainwashoh, that's the new function21:50
brainwashNoskcaj: so packages which use the new function and were built before the latest libxfce4ui package update?21:55
Noskcajyeah21:56
Noskcajif there are any21:56
brainwashnot quite sure how to find those =S21:57
Noskcajok21:57
NoskcajDon't worry then21:57
brainwashapt-get source all packages and grep? :D21:58
brainwashI should avoid using "dh_shlibdeps --dpkg-shlibdeps-params=--ignore-missing-info" for my PPA builds, or?21:59
brainwashadding this seems to be any easy way to avoid build aborts22:01
Noskcajmr_pouit, Since you fixed the bug, any idea what needs rebuilding?22:01
Noskcajbrainwash, when possible, stick to what ubuntu has for PPAs22:04
brainwashwhat ubuntu has for PPAs? I don't quite understand this22:08
brainwashI am trying to set up a daily ppa for Xfce packages, well, I was trying to22:09
Noskcajbrainwash, i mean, when possible, use the same packaging as ubuntu does22:11
brainwashI do22:12
brainwashI copied the debian folder from the ubuntu package22:12
brainwashand I've added extra stuff until it finally built successfully 22:12
brainwash:)22:12
brainwashhttp://bazaar.launchpad.net/~thad-fisch/+junk/xfwm4-debian/view/head:/debian/rules22:14
brainwashso I had to add the "override_dh_shlibdeps", but I assume that this is just a bad way of handling the actual problem22:15
NoskcajI'm not to well versed with shlibs (i know nothing about C), but that override doesn't look too good22:17
brainwashok, I'll try to resolve this properly before building more packages22:21
brainwashUnit193: bug 129605823:07
ubottubug 1296058 in lubuntu-meta (Ubuntu) "Lubuntu 14.04 Live lock out users" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/129605823:07
brainwashlight-locker is disabled for xuubntu's live mode now, where can I find that change?23:08
