zhicki just installed kubuntu 14.04 and after having some audio issues finally figured out it was caused by gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio not being installed (before, phonon fell back to alsa). i did a pretty bog standard install though, so is this the case for everyone01:49
zhick?01:49
* mamarley uses VLC as the phonon backend.01:53
zhickmamarley: the standard install comes with gstreamer though. another user in #kubuntu also didnt have gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio installed. this seems like a bug?01:55
mamarleyProbably.01:56
zhickgstreamer0.10-pulseaudio was installed though. seems like some dependency wasnt updated or sth?02:00
zhickah, there's already a bugreport. nvm then.02:09
AlexZionHi everyone, I was testing Kubuntu 14.04 beta2 live on my dell xps 15z with double GPU and I had no problem running  the 32bit version, but I couldn't get 64bit version works, it just remain on a black screen02:14
AlexZionany suggestion to avoid this problem ?02:14
=== jackson is now known as Guest51547
apacheloggershadeslayer: btw, you want people to use pmap -p or paste the proc file itself, otherwise you don't know the full path of the loaded shared object and are not much wiser than before07:43
apacheloggeryofel, shadeslayer: isn't bug 1299920 intentional?08:26
ubottubug 1299920 in kde-workspace (Ubuntu) "defaulting to qt5 does not work siunce QT_SELECT=qt4 is in the environment by default." [Medium,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/129992008:26
shadeslayerapachelogger: no :/08:26
apacheloggerwhat a shame08:26
shadeslayerQT_SELECT should be unset before ksmserver starts08:26
shadeslayer<tsdgeos> shadeslayer: Riddell: dudes kde-runtime-4.12.95/kwalletd/CMakeLists.txt is making my kwalletd crash, i'd appreciate you don't patch stuff like that08:27
shadeslayerapachelogger: ^^ could that be related to the numerous kwallet crashes that you're seeing?08:27
tsdgeosit is of course08:27
apacheloggeroh we patch things08:27
apacheloggerlovely08:27
tsdgeosi fixed it and it's not crashing anymore08:27
tsdgeosotoh the upstream code was a bit bad too08:28
tsdgeosso fixed that too08:28
tsdgeoshttp://paste.ubuntu.com/7193353/08:28
tsdgeosfor the we want to patch stuff side08:28
apacheloggerthat patch is something08:28
shadeslayerupstream actually suggested this btw, since the GPG backend wasn't working08:29
apacheloggershadeslayer: who did review the patch though?08:29
shadeslayerUhm .. yeah ... no one ...08:30
apacheloggerright08:30
apacheloggerpolicy violation "In general one should attempt to create patches that qualify for upstream inclusion, so that ultimately no patch is necessary at all, or only for the short amount of time between a Kubuntu release and a new upstream release. "08:30
apacheloggerpatch should have been written in such a way that you get a cmake option to deactivate the gpg stuff08:30
apachelogger"Tiny patches that either provide platform integration or behavior adjustments. These patches should be brought to the attention of upstream. "08:30
apacheloggerpatch was not brought to the attention of upstream08:31
shadeslayerit was08:31
apacheloggershadeslayer: so who reviewed it?08:31
shadeslayerno one, patch came from upstream08:31
tsdgeosshadeslayer: define "came from upstream"08:31
apacheloggerAuthor: Rohan Garg <rohangarg@kubuntu.org>08:31
tsdgeosbecause it's not upstream08:31
shadeslayertsdgeos: I was talking to Valentin over email08:31
tsdgeosso it can't come from upstream08:31
tsdgeosanyway as i said08:31
apacheloggershadeslayer: did he write the patch?08:31
tsdgeosupstream is fucked up similarly08:31
tsdgeosi fixed it there08:32
tsdgeostoo08:32
apacheloggertsdgeos: kwallet always has been fun business indeed ;)08:32
shadeslayerapachelogger: no, however : http://paste.kde.org/pb9x8bf0h08:32
apacheloggerperhaps the policy needs an amendment08:32
apacheloggerbecause that basicaly is like bug 128846908:33
ubottubug 1288469 in partitionmanager (Ubuntu) "package a snapshot" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/128846908:33
apacheloggerpolicy exclusion would be "if upstream wants something, they ought to do it upstream and ask for adoption"08:34
shadeslayertsdgeos: is the fix in 4.12.97?08:34
apacheloggeras I said that patch could and should have been done upstream as a cmake option for use in all distros08:34
tsdgeosshadeslayer: no, i fixed it yesternight08:34
shadeslayertsdgeos: okay, thx08:35
* shadeslayer sighs08:35
tsdgeoshttp://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kde-runtime.git&a=commit&h=c2758024b51765e9e17cc4bd204ad136fa18c04b08:35
shadeslayerapachelogger: I'll remove the patch from 4.12.9708:36
apacheloggershadeslayer: upstream maybe?08:37
shadeslayerapachelogger: upstream what?08:37
* apachelogger notes that upstream is an equally flexible word like fck xD08:37
apacheloggershadeslayer: the ability to deactivate the gpg backend08:37
apacheloggeroh ubiquity manual partitioning is still not localized08:38
shadeslayervalentin wrote that he was planning on writing something like that08:38
apacheloggershadeslayer: well but we need something now it appears?08:38
shadeslayerI'd rather not touch it, since I clearly don't know enough about this, I'll ask Alex if he can help08:39
apacheloggersound good to me08:39
shadeslayerI'd rather have a non functioning / confusing GPG option rather than introduce another crasher08:40
apacheloggerrandom question of the day: why is gpgme installed anyway?08:43
apacheloggerkdepimlibs?08:43
apacheloggeryesyes08:43
shadeslayerapachelogger: btw does guest login work for you?08:44
shadeslayerseems very broken for me08:44

shadeslayerwgrant: ^^08:49
wgrantshadeslayer: status Incomplete08:49
apacheloggershadeslayer: anyway, bug 1299920 <- unset is your friend08:49
ubottubug 1299920 in kde-workspace (Ubuntu) "defaulting to qt5 does not work siunce QT_SELECT=qt4 is in the environment by default." [Medium,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/129992008:49
shadeslayerwgrant: http://paste.kde.org/pr5owiyex08:49
apacheloggerenv --unset if you want to be very fancy xD08:49
shadeslayerapachelogger: yeah, I do unset it, but after ksmserver starts08:49
apacheloggeroh08:50
apacheloggerwell08:50
apacheloggershadeslayer: as indicated, to me it appeared that this is an intentional sideffect08:50
shadeslayerapachelogger: *nod*08:50
apacheloggerif you run a plasma workspace all sorts of rubbish may expect qdbus408:51
shadeslayerright, I was thinking about that08:51
apacheloggerof course qdbus5 should be functionally equal to qdbus4, so I think you don't need to set anything08:51
shadeslayerapachelogger: but if you were to launch Qt Creator, to do Qt5 stuff08:51
apacheloggerthat's my understanding anyway08:51
shadeslayerthat's where it would get complicated08:51
apacheloggershadeslayer: that's why I am saying you probably don't need to force the select because the binaries will have equal output08:52
shadeslayerokay, just remove QT_SELECT then08:52
apacheloggerwhat you did was exchange path based hardcoding for qtchooser based hardcoding (i.e. force via qt_select)08:52
apacheloggershadeslayer: I dunno, ask all the people08:52
shadeslayerall the people?08:53
apacheloggerwhoever had a problem with the way it is done upstream and whoever has a problem with the way it is done now by us08:53
apacheloggerit is only my understanding that you don't need to force anything, I do not know for sure08:53
apacheloggerto me personally it still seems silly that qdbus5 can be an alternative to qdbus4 because that's based on the premise that they actually both generate the same output08:54
shadeslayeryou are correct fwiw08:54

wgrantshadeslayer: Great, thanks for confirming.09:10
shadeslayerapachelogger: yofel fwiw I'm removing QT_SELECT09:33
shadeslayersince as mentioned before, qdbus gives the same output09:34
shadeslayerplus09:34

shadeslayerRiddell: plz approve kde-workspace from queue09:37

shadeslayerthe 1.0-for-merge branch needs rebawsing on master09:50
shadeslayer:D09:50
shadeslayerRiddell: because the 1.0 port only builds for Qt409:50
shadeslayerwe could keep it that way09:50
shadeslayerand only build for Qt409:51
shadeslayerRiddell: oh09:51

RiddellMirv: how come there's no qtwebkit 5.2 packages?10:18
MirvRiddell: it regressed on WebGL games, so at the last minute rsalveti backported a bunch of patches from 5.2 to 5.1 instead, since there didn't seem to be an easy way to fix the issue. bug #129170710:28

sgclarkRiddell: yep, will do11:37
Riddellsgclark: oh calligra is uploaded to archive and copied to kubuntu-ppa/backports, thanks :)11:39
BluesKaj'Morning folks11:39
kdeuser56yofel: I can't dist-upgrade to .97, it wants to remove kdepim related stuff and all its dependent stuff11:46
Riddellkdeuser56: PPA or archive?11:59
kdeuser56Riddell: ppa12:06
Riddellkdeuser56: pastebin apt output?12:06
kdeuser56Riddell: http://pastebin.com/CH1tfDW712:07
Riddellkdeuser56: that's fine it's just -dgbsym packages it wants to remove12:08
Riddellwhich aren't in the PPA12:08
kdeuser56Riddell: strange ... I installed them when using the ppa ...12:09
kdeuser56Riddell: oh I have a theory12:10
kdeuser56Riddell: I think the moment i set up the system, the version in the ppa and in the official repo were the same, so the official repo was chosen ....12:10
kdeuser56Riddell: why are no dbgsym created for ninjas?12:10
Riddellkdeuser56: launchpad doesn't do that for PPAs, it would take up a lot of disk space 12:11
kdeuser56Riddell: and it is not possible to make an exception for you? testing stuff needs dbgsymbols12:12
Riddellkdeuser56: ah, alas, despite being the centrefold in the Sun, I am nothing special to launchpad12:15
Riddellkdeuser56: most packages have -dbg packages you can use instead of -dbg12:15
kdeuser56Riddell: most but not the ones it wants to remove in the paste12:15
apacheloggerRiddell: actually IIRC it has capabilities to generate dbgsym nowadays, just needs to be turned on for ppas individually12:19
apacheloggerI am sure wgrant knows more ^^12:20
apacheloggeralso I think yofel and I had a discussion about that at some point12:20
apacheloggerno clue why or what or when though ;)12:20
kdeuser56Riddell: could we change the dependencies for akonadi-server?12:21
wgrantapachelogger, Riddell: I can enable ddeb generation for a PPA, but they're rather large and any package built with native LP ddebs cannot be copied into the primary archive.12:22
Riddellkdeuser56: um, how so?12:22
kdeuser56Riddell: so that depends has "akonadi-backend-mysql | akonadi-backend-postgresql | akonadi-backend-sqlite"12:22
wgrant(we'll fix that in a few months when we switch the primary archive to native ddebs, but we're blocked on disk space)12:22
kdeuser56Riddell: if one wants to install another backend than mysql and wants to remove mysql backend12:23
apacheloggerwgrant: ah, I think the copy part is why we did not ask for it when it was last discussed12:23
apacheloggerRiddell: or have we stopped copying packages from ppa to archive yet?12:24
kdeuser56Riddell: I am not yet familiar with apt dependencies, but it should be an OR relation between the backends 12:25
kdeuser56Riddell: if one backend is installed everything is fine and the other one can be removed .... 12:25
Riddellkdeuser56: do you actually use it with a backend other than mysql?12:26
kdeuser56Riddell: postgresql12:26
RiddellI think the reason it's like that is the other ones aren't well tested12:26
kdeuser56Riddell: yeah but I think that changed recently12:26
kdeuser56Riddell: the maintainer of akonadi, Dan Vratil uses postgre backend himself12:27
kdeuser56Riddell: and the akonadi guys have one postgresql dev among them for a few months 12:27
kdeuser56Riddell: I am testing myself though, have not used it in production over a longer time12:28
Riddellkdeuser56: ok yes we probably should then12:29
Riddellpatches welcome :)12:29
kdeuser56Riddell: I do not know what policies are there for deciding dependencies, but I think if it does not benefit it can't harm12:30
kdeuser56Riddell: mysql will still be default and if one user installs another backend and wants to remove the default one, he is fine too12:30
kdeuser56Riddell: if you want, I will report back how it behaves ... atm it does not work out of the box for some strange reason, but Dan has provided me a patch that should work, I'll recompile and test12:32
Riddellkdeuser56: yes that would be interesting12:32
kdeuser56Riddell: basically at the moment a default config option is set wrong, which is the reason for the failure 12:33
kdeuser56Riddell: I will test it in the next weeks and report back12:33
kdeuser56or next days :-)12:33

apacheloggerexactly that12:38

apacheloggerit is unknown why12:38
apacheloggercould be left over stardust from big bang for all I know12:39
kdeuser56apachelogger: :-), I mean do you support my suggestion of adding the possibility of different backends or not? If I understood correctly you want to drop that delta12:39
BluesKajbig bang, bah humbug... makes no sense12:40
apacheloggerkdeuser56: no, I am saying that the reason it is there to begin with is not known so it might be silly rubbish from way back when akonadi was first introduced and only had one backend12:42
apacheloggerif one were to figure out why it is there and whether it should be there it would however possibly solve your request as not having that delta would make all backends equal from an apt pov12:43

shadeslayerRiddell: plz also approve kde-runtime12:49
Riddellapachelogger: yes, cmake can't find the asound2 library even though it's in /usr/lib/x86-foo/12:50
apacheloggerwell, that might be problem right there, old cmake finders tend to have problems with multiarch12:50
shadeslayerRiddell: and are you working on the pgst package?12:51
apacheloggerbut as I said, that stuff might go away once I get to twiddling runtime12:51
Riddellshadeslayer: nope, working on plasma alpha12:51
shadeslayerok12:51
shadeslayerO12:51
shadeslayerI'll take care of it12:51
xnoxRiddell: ScottK: yo, i want to change packagekit-backend-aptcc to link against gstreamer1.0 instead of gstreamer0.10 as everything is mostly  gstreamer1.0 based and i'd like to kick out gstreamer0.10 from ubuntu desktop images12:57
xnoxRiddell: ScottK: however, i'm not certain if aptcc linked against 1.0 would return 0.10 codecs12:58
Riddellxnox: please do12:58
Riddellxnox: we don't use gstreamer 0.10 any more12:58
xnoxRiddell: ack, thanks.12:58
xnoxRiddell: i thought phonon was not ported to gstreamer1.0.... or you don't lookup missing codecs via packagekit ?12:59
xnoxanyway, it should still work, inspecting the code.12:59
Riddellxnox: someone decided to kill ffmpeg from gstreamer0.10 so we had to go with a phonon-gstreamer1.0 snapshot13:00
xnoxRiddell: excellent!13:03
BluesKajstill can't open device prefs in multimedia>audio&video settings, cursor hangs trying to load13:05
shadeslayerBluesKaj: what does pmap -p `pidof systemsettings` give you13:06
BluesKajshadeslayer, pmap: argument missing13:08
shadeslayer0.o did you close systemsettings?13:08
BluesKajyup13:08
shadeslayerwell, that's why :P13:09
BluesKajshadeslayer, do you really want to see the paste ? :)13:10
shadeslayerBluesKaj: yeah13:10
shadeslayerbecause not loading the device list is not good13:10
BluesKajit's huge 13:11
shadeslayerBluesKaj: yeah, just pastebin13:11
BluesKajshadeslayer, http://privatepaste.com/85ba090f2113:12
shadeslayerBluesKaj: gdb -p `pidof systemsettings`13:13
shadeslayerand then bt13:13
BluesKajshadeslayer, http://privatepaste.com/4a840e1a49 , and the command is still open , didn't return to the prompt 13:18
sgclarkRiddell: oxygen-fonts https://launchpad.net/~scarlett-7/+archive/kubuntu-ppa/+packages13:18
shadeslayerBluesKaj: I don't see a backtrace13:18
shadeslayerhm13:19
Riddellsgclark: yay, are you using oxygen font? does it look good to you?13:19
sgclarkRiddell: took some getting used to, but yes it is growing on me13:19
Riddell:)13:20
Riddellhmm, obvious problem, I got the version number wrong by an order of magnitude13:20
kubotu::workspace-bugs:: [1258422] Maximized windows go under panel if panel attached to screen edge between two monitors @ https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1258422 (by kolen)13:21
Riddellsgclark: ping, can you repackage with http://starsky.19inch.net/~jr/tmp/oxygen-fonts-0.3.95.tar.xz ?13:23
BluesKajshadeslayer, when i close system settings, the termination dialog appears without a backtrace option. SS doesn't crash , the cursor just keeps trying load as long as you let it.13:23
sgclarkRiddell: sure, about done with ktextwidgets, will get after13:24
sgclarkRiddell: ktexteditor13:24

shadeslayerbut that's line 32013:33
BluesKajnot an ubuntu one user, so your post doesn't help me, shadeslayer 13:33
shadeslayerBluesKaj: what?13:33
BluesKajsh nm , guess that wasn't meant for me13:35
BluesKajshadeslayer,^13:35
shadeslayerBluesKaj: I meant, launch systemsettings > Multimedia and open the device preferences > killall -s SEGV systemsettings13:36
apacheloggershadeslayer: for me 324 is }13:36
apacheloggereither way though, it fails the root assert xD13:39
apachelogger        Q_ASSERT(sink->root()); //sink has to have a root since it is connected13:39
apacheloggerwhich is line 193 here ^^13:39
apacheloggershadeslayer: you are looking at master I think13:41
shadeslayerI was looking at the tag13:43
apacheloggerI am looking at the tar13:43
shadeslayeroh hm13:44
apacheloggershadeslayer: oh mind you, the latest submission apparently has both gst1 and gst0 in memory13:45
shadeslayerah yes13:46
apacheloggerso does the one before that13:46
shadeslayer*shrug* then13:46
apacheloggerlibqtwebkit4 2.3.2-0ubuntu413:47
apacheloggerit would help a bunch if people actually updated their systems I guess13:47
* BluesKaj 's system is updated/upgraded/dist-upgraded every day13:53
BluesKajheh, even the debug symbol install failed, so reporting a backtrace doesn't seem possible , shadeslayer14:05
shadeslayerthis is very weird14:05
shadeslayerBluesKaj: :O14:05
apacheloggerwhy would you report the backtrace?14:09
ovidiu-florinRiddell: are you arround?14:10
BluesKajapachelogger, assumed it would help14:10
shadeslayerapachelogger: yay, no one has tested if master pgst compiles with Qt514:11
Riddellhi ovidiu-florin, I'm always around for you14:11
ovidiu-florinRiddell: can you please join me in this conversation on #canonical-sysadmin ?14:12
BluesKajhelp shadeslayer that is , since he requested a bt\14:12
shadeslayerRiddell: where did you get the 4.7.1 tar :S14:14
Riddellshadeslayer: for what?14:14
shadeslayerpgst14:14
Riddellum, dunno, ftp.kde.org ?14:14
shadeslayerdafuq14:15
shadeslayertag doesn't build but tar does14:15
Riddellsgclark: ah yes http://blog.canonical.com/2014/04/02/shutting-down-ubuntu-one-file-services/14:19
sgclarkRiddell: ahh ok, I signed up for spideroak14:20
apacheloggershadeslayer: master is base of 4.714:23
shadeslayeroh hm14:23
shadeslayerapachelogger: which branch should I merge into 1.0-porting then14:23
shadeslayer4.7 or master14:23
apachelogger4.7?14:23
shadeslayerk14:23
shadeslayerapachelogger: can you review kde:clones/phonon-gstreamer/garg/phonon-gstreamer14:28
shadeslayerbefore I push to the 1.0 branch14:28
shadeslayerand then we can snapshot it14:29
Riddellshadeslayer: mvo is alive if we need him14:31
shadeslayerRiddell: xnox updated app-install-data14:32
shadeslayerso it's fine :)14:32
shadeslayerapachelogger: pushed another fix14:32
Riddellxnox: can we add arbitrary apps to app-install-data? (we're wanting to add some kcontrol modules that doesn't have application .desktop files)14:33
shadeslayerRiddell: needs python haxxoring14:35
Riddellpython is easy to haxxor, even apachelogger can do it14:37
shadeslayerapachelogger: if you approve changes, I'll push to pgst14:39
sgclarkRiddell: http://paste.ubuntu.com/7194594/14:44
Riddellsgclark: hmm, what did we do about it in kate?14:50
Riddellsgclark: yeah we have /usr/share/kde4/apps/katepart/script/libraries/underscore.js14:50
Riddellsgclark: so just live with it14:50
sgclarkRiddell I found libjs-underscore package, I should be able to symlink in rules?14:51
apacheloggershadeslayer: review? I am not pgst maintainer14:52
shadeslayerapachelogger: just have a look to see everything looks sane14:52
apacheloggerI would have no idea what to look for14:52
apacheloggerexcept for cmake and the EOS handling I have no idea of pgst14:52
Riddellsgclark: oh yes if that works even better14:52
shadeslayerapachelogger: cmake is all that's needed :)14:52
apacheloggershadeslayer: review against 4.7?14:53
shadeslayerapachelogger: yes14:53
* apachelogger fetches shadeslayer14:54
apacheloggershadeslayer: which branch?14:54
shadeslayer1.0-porting-for-merge14:54
apacheloggerwhy was GSTREAMER_INTERFACE_LIBRARY dropped from the finder?14:55
apachelogger-IF (GSTREAMER_INCLUDE_DIR AND GSTREAMER_LIBRARIES AND GSTREAMER_BASE_LIBRARY AND GSTREAMER_INTERFACE_LIBRARY AND GSTREAMER_APP_LIBRARY)14:55
apachelogger+IF (GSTREAMER_INCLUDE_DIR AND GSTREAMER_LIBRARIES AND GSTREAMER_BASE_LIBRARY AND GSTREAMER_APP_LIBRARY)14:55
shadeslayerdoesn't exist in 0.10 I think14:56
apacheloggerin 1.0 you mean14:56
apacheloggerbut that's a problem14:56
shadeslayerright14:56
apacheloggercan't just drop it like that :P14:56
apacheloggerbest fork findgstreamer into findgstreamer0.10 and findgstreamer14:56
shadeslayerI did14:57
apacheloggerag14:57
apacheloggerah14:57
apacheloggeryeah14:57
apacheloggerjust scrolled down ^^14:57
shadeslayerway ahead of you :P14:57
shadeslayerby about a year14:57
apachelogger-      videosink.c14:57
apachelogger+      videodataoutput.cpp14:58
apacheloggerthat seems wrong14:58
apachelogger+    if (NOT PHONON_NO_GRAPHICSVIEW)14:58
apachelogger+      set(phonon_gstreamer_SRCS14:58
apacheloggerplease use list(APPEND phonon_gstreamer_SRCS 1.cpp 2.cpp....)14:58
apacheloggerit's faster14:58
shadeslayervideodataoutput.cpp also seems to be added twice14:58
apacheloggeryeah the addition probably is wrong14:59
apacheloggervideosink possibly was removed14:59
shadeslayer*nod*14:59
apacheloggeror14:59
shadeslayergit did that automagically14:59
apacheloggerI think that is used for graphicsview14:59
apacheloggernot sure that removal is sensible14:59
apacheloggershadeslayer: oh on a related note, you cannot merge this into 4.714:59
shadeslayerapachelogger: oh?14:59
apacheloggerthe git merge needs to be into master14:59
shadeslayeryeah, that's the plan15:00
apacheloggerthe snapshot we need to draw is a merge into 4.715:00
apacheloggerso you'll likely want a git branch 4.7-gstreamer1.015:00
apacheloggerwhich is only used by us15:00
apachelogger+    macro_log_feature(GSTREAMER_FOUND "GStreamer" "gstreamer 0.10 is required for the multimedia backend" "http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/modules/" TRUE "1.0")15:01
apacheloggers/0.10/1.0/15:01
kubotuapachelogger meant: "+    macro_log_feature(GSTREAMER_FOUND "GStreamer" "gstreamer 1.0 is required for the multimedia backend" "http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/modules/" TRUE "1.0")"15:01
apachelogger+//     DEBUG_BLOCK; and following lines... need to be removed I reckon15:02
apacheloggermediaobject in general has copious amounts of debug added, probably needs fixing15:02
apacheloggerso much ifdef :'<15:02
apacheloggershadeslayer: cmake otherwise looks fine15:03
shadeslayer:)15:04
shadeslayerquite a bit of ifdefs yeah15:04
apacheloggerRequest-URI Too Large15:04
apacheloggerstupid bugzilla15:04
yofelRiddell: the reason why we hard-depend on akonadi-backend-mysql is that akonadi has no backend detection. So if there's some dependency issue that removes mysql, akonadi will say it's broken and... that's it. Leave it to the user to find out what happened15:05
Riddellyofel: mm yes15:05
yofelwe did have an alternate depend in the past, and a bunch of bug reports during the mysql 5.1 -> 5.5 migration15:06
apacheloggermhhhh15:06
apacheloggershadeslayer: I haz question15:06
apacheloggerwhatever happened to the sc rc?15:07
shadeslayerapachelogger: yes?15:07

apacheloggerto archive or ppa?15:07
shadeslayerapachelogger: launchpad was being flaky yesterday, wgrant fixed it today15:07

yofelRiddell: I seriously hoped that akonaid would grow backend-detection at some point... well... I'm still hoping...15:07
* apachelogger scratches nose15:08
apacheloggershadeslayer: why did it take so long?15:08
shadeslayerapachelogger: I tried 4-5 times yesterday, but launchpad was being flaky15:08
apacheloggershadeslayer: but tarballs went live on 27th?15:09
shadeslayerand Friday was eaten up by Neon 5 ISO'ering15:09
apacheloggermhhh15:09
apacheloggershadeslayer: and monday?15:09
apacheloggeranyway15:09
apacheloggershadeslayer: there were no problems up until now, other than flaky lunchpad?15:09
shadeslayerhm , various meetings and such with regards to plasma stuff IIRC15:10
shadeslayerbut it probably slipped my mind on Monday15:10
shadeslayerapachelogger: nope15:10
* apachelogger is too stupid to use bugzilla today15:11
shadeslayerapachelogger: what do I do with vdo15:23
shadeslayervideosink.c is apparently still built in 4.715:24
shadeslayerthis is all very confusing apachelogger ^^15:29
