ScottKLaney: Thanks.13:23
tumbleweedScottK: would you mind binNEWing nvidia-cuda-toolkit?13:48
maclinslangasek, xnox, could you help to review ubuntu-kylin-software-center code for a new release which solved the critical #bug 1306871?16:03
ubot2Launchpad bug 1306871 in Ubuntu Kylin Software Center "software center only shows few apps before apt update(软件中心只显示少部分软件,更新源后正常)" [Critical,Fix committed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/130687116:03
tumbleweedcaught that out of the corner of my eye. thanks.16:20
cjwatsonjpds: syncing new upstreams of haskell packages at this point in the cycle is not necessarily highly recommended ...16:22
cjwatsonjpds: http://people.canonical.com/~ubuntu-archive/transitions/ghc.html :-(16:22
cjwatsonjpds: and debian-haskell@ says it breaks rss2irc16:22
xnoxmaclin: how did you merge my branch? did you use $ bzr merge as listed on the merge proposal page?16:56
cjwatsonjpds: I've fixed up the transition problems, I think, but that still leaves rss2irc16:57
xnoxmaclin: at the moment it appears that you are the committer, and am not the author of that commit.16:57
cjwatsonjpds: And git-annex seems to have new building-without-GHCi problems16:57
cjwatsonjpds: (latter taken to #debian-haskell)17:00
maclinxnox, i merged the modification maually17:04
xnoxmaclin: you missed one hunk, and the copyright/author attribution got attributed to you.17:04
xnoxmaclin: i will revert your commit, and merge using bzr merge, with a correct debian/changelog entry.17:05
xnoxmaclin: typically we use dch to prepare a single multi-maintainer changelog entry.17:05
cjwatsonif you're going to merge things manually then it's worth taking time to learn about things like --author17:06
maclinxnox, thanks,  I did not get known with that. I will learn about it.17:11
xnoxmaclin_: no worries. all updated, and uploaded release.17:23
maclin_xnox, great,  is it able to hit the coming ISO image?17:27
xnoxmaclin_: not sure, i think it will still need release team review and approval.17:30
maclinxnox, I got it, thanks:)17:45
slangasekmaclin, xnox: so I am quite happy to review and accept the package in the unapproved queue, but it'll be about 2 hours before I have a chance to do so; if some other release team member reviews it before me, that's fine17:54
maclinslangasek, kind, either is fine for us:)18:01

slangasekmaclin: uksc accepted.  BTW, I notice the restart_uksc() function is rather strange; I would expect a restart to be done by calling os.execv(), not by spawning a new process that kills the old one20:34
knomecan somebody from the release team ACK if it's ok to land 1210898?21:47
jdstrandfyi, ^ it is a security update with packaging changes to fix bug #1305317. that bug should be fixed for release since oxideqt-codecs on the image is broken (and needed by webap-container). it went through citrain, testing, etc21:47
ubot2Launchpad bug 1305317 in oxide-qt (Ubuntu) "Youtube webapp reads fewer videos with the new oxideqt-codecs package" [High,In progress] https://launchpad.net/bugs/130531721:47
jdstrandoh, and it fixes a few other crash bugs21:47
* slangasek waits patiently for a download from the queue so he can look21:57
knomeslangasek, while you wait... what about an ACK for our issue? :)22:06
slangasekknome: looking22:07
* knome bows22:07
knomewould suggest reading the last comment at least22:07
slangasekjdstrand: trying to unpack oxide-qt into a tempdir is making me stabby.  I don't suppose you have a debdiff somewhere I could just look at?22:10
slangasekknome: so, this is obviously a fix that has no effect on !Xubuntu; I would say it's appropriate if the Xubuntu team thinks it is22:13
slangasekknome: it also seems like something that could be fixed in a 0-day SRU; so it mostly depends on where you are with ISO testing?22:13
knomewe will need a respin anyway for another bugfix22:14
knomewhich is why i'm up at 1am and trying to get this ready for uploading for tomorrow22:14
knome:)22:15
slangasekknome: ok, so consider this an ack for upload22:16
knomethanks22:16
slangasekjdstrand: oxide-qt-1.0.0~bzr501/chromium/src/base/process/launch_posix.cc.orig :P22:17
knomeslangasek, for the record, it probably affects ubuntu studio too, but they have been happy to take all of our fixes so far and told us they pretty much want that in the future as well.22:18
slangasekok22:18
slangasekjdstrand: sigh, unauditable json files; maybe in the future someone could insert a few newlines in these here or there, and only remove the dangerous, bandwidth-wasting whitespace at build time? :)22:21
slangasek(but maybe this is a chromium upstream problem...)22:22
slangasekchrisccoulson, jdstrand: a bug ref or two in the changelog would've been nice...22:23
jdstrandslangasek: yes, it was omitted but already building by the time I reviewed it in the ppa22:43
jdstrandwhich is why I mentioned the bug ref22:43
jdstrandslangasek: thanks for the review22:45
