Prf_JakobI like to swap left alt and super?12:02
om26ermlankhorst, Hello 13:10
mlankhorsthey13:10
om26ermlankhorst, there is a crash in X with touch screen that needs attention13:40
om26erbug 129872713:40
ubottubug 1298727 in xorg-server (Ubuntu) "Xorg crashed with SIGABRT in point_on_screen()" [Critical,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/129872713:40
om26erwe are doing manual testing of Ubuntu with touch screen laptops and that crash is frequent13:40
mlankhorstthere are tons :P13:43
mlankhorstbut i think jason is arranging for me to get a touch screen laptop so i can take a look13:44
om26ermlankhorst, do you when will that laptop reach you? asking because the deadline is 9th May13:45
mlankhorstno idea13:47
om26ermlankhorst, ok. I have assigned that bug to you.13:49
seb128mlankhorst, was the valgrind I got you of any use?13:50
mlankhorstseb128: a little, tells me that the 2 bugs are probably the same13:50
* mlankhorst looks if he can find more13:51
mlankhorstah right :P13:53
mlankhorstseb128: I fear that one may be harmless..13:54
mlankhorstwell unless that's really causing it, hmz..13:54
mlankhorstderp i should have a fix for that one at least13:55
seb128om26er, do you have specific steps to trigger it?13:56
mlankhorstseb128: for your bug http://paste.debian.net/96566/13:56
seb128om26er, I tried a bit yesterday and couldn't hit it with gallery or camera apps13:56
seb128mlankhorst, you think the one from om26er is different though?13:56
om26erseb128, we put in 15-20 photos in ~/Pictures and then just flick through all the pictures continuously for a minute or so and it crashes13:56
mlankhorstseb128: no idea, try? :-)13:56
seb128om26er, I did that, no issue here (but I was running X under valgrind)13:57
mlankhorstom26er: do you prefer diff or deb?13:57
seb128mlankhorst, can you put the fix into a ppa for om26er to test?13:57
seb128or deb works13:57
seb128thanks13:57
om26erseb128, trying to crash it again, will get back to you13:57
mlankhorstok uploaded to ppa:canonical-x/x-staging, for the impatient just build locally :P14:00
mlankhorstor wait a bit longer while I finish14:00
mlankhorstseb128: while that thing could potentially crash, it's not the crasher from https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/129872714:01
ubottuLaunchpad bug 1298727 in xorg-server (Ubuntu Trusty) "Xorg crashed with SIGABRT in point_on_screen()" [Critical,Confirmed]14:01
seb128k14:02
mlankhorstso thanks for the log, need another one :P14:02
mlankhorstdebs available at http://people.canonical.com/~mlankhorst/ fwiw14:03
mlankhorstcan i get a new log seb128?14:17
seb128mlankhorst, I'm trying to get one but no success getting any error so far14:19
mlankhorstthis can't be the real issue though :s14:20
seb128well, I'm not even running your debugs14:21
seb128I was trying to get the segfault by flicking in gallery14:21
seb128it might one of those bugs valgrind makes the bug never show14:21
seb128I had one segfault before putting valgrind back there14:22
mlankhorstit should show the other one at least, but possibly the case14:22
mlankhorstseb128: what if you remove malloc-fill and free-fill?14:23
seb128trying14:24
mlankhorstor maybe deliberately try to do those things as slow or as fast as possible14:25
ktk1Hi Hi21:47
ktk1 I'm trying to figure how to fix signal frequency out of range when I'm using the radeon driver. The fglrx driver doesn't give me that error messege. With the open source driver I have to boot with a different monitor, then switch back to the monitor I use normally.21:47
ktk1Woops.  Just noticed the line at the top.  But I don't think this is a bug, but rather a config issue.21:51
