[06:44] cyberalex4life, hi [06:44] could you tell me which is the location of the global drop-down lock screen wallpaper [06:45] in ubuntu gnome 14.04 [06:45] I would like to change it, but I can't seem to find it... (it's the golden one) [06:46] probably in /usr/share/backgrounds/ [06:47] /usr/share/backgrounds/gnome/Locked.png [06:48] cyberalex4life, and of course if you go an change it, you will need to add a dpkg-divert so it doesnt get overwritten anytime gnome-backgrounds gets and update [06:49] I was thinking about changing the .xml file [06:49] to point to what I want [06:50] but I still can't find it [06:50] I found the user default [06:51] but not the root one, the user one is blueish the root one is golden [06:52] there is no xml file for the lockscreen [06:52] that is only for the timed desktop background [06:53] I found it, sorry, didn't see it [06:53] ok, then how do I change it...? [06:53] mv Locked.png Locked.real.png [06:54] dpkg-divert --divert Locked.png Locked.real.png [06:54] or something like that [06:54] then you are free to replace the image with whatever you want [06:54] (and it won't get overwritten with updates) [06:55] but the new image must be named Locked.png .. [06:56] yes, or otherwise use a gschema override to set a new global default [06:56] gconf? [06:56] no [06:56] cyberalex4life, see /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/20_ubuntu-gnome-default-settings.gschema.override [06:57] as an example [06:57] you can make you own 30_cyberalex4lift.gschema.override [06:58] which would override the ubuntu-gnome settings [06:58] ok, I will look into it, thank you very much! === prth is now known as prth|AFK [10:14] ricotz, any clue? https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1314927/comments/5 [10:14] Ubuntu bug 1314927 in Ubuntu GNOME "Gnome-weather 3.12.0 applet icon don't it shows in ubuntu 14.04 LTS." [Undecided,New] [10:20] darkxst, this is not a locale switcher, it just set the keyboard layout [10:22] ricotz, I realise that, but why are searches not working in other locales? [10:23] * darkxst strictly limited to english here! [10:24] could be that some translations are missing or not picked up [10:24] i notice that all g-c-c panels are listed in english here too [10:24] rather than german [10:25] that could be due to lang pack problems perhaps? but wearher etc are in universe so don't use lang packs? right? [10:27] i guess this is gnome-shell specific, meaning how the search-provider data is retrieved and evaluated [10:27] (of course the search-provider must be activated too e.g. in case of weather) === prth is now known as prth|AFK === prth|AFK is now known as prth === Unismurfhedgehog is now known as SonikkuAmerica [15:46] full ubuntu iso of 4 GB DVD WITH ALL DESKTOP APPS THAT NEEDED ANY ADVANCED USER === prth is now known as prth|AFK [18:38] hello [18:41] Flash videos disappears/underlays when using Fullscreen mode. It appears to be a plugin container bug in Gnome. Some have suggested using other browsers, but I only like Firefox. Recently, Firefox 29 is available. Anyone know if Firefox29 doesn't get the fullscreen bug in Gnome? [22:33] btw, why exactly do we still have a Desktop folder, when by default there are no files placable on the desktop?
