[21:11] waigani: further improvements to the github-watcher charm, charm development doc improvements and some test cleanups for "juju bootstrap" [21:11] thumper: so we have a standup at 11 today? [21:11] sounds good :) [21:12] yep [21:12] waigani: what about you? [21:12] cool [21:13] menn0: ummm, pick up where I left off with the charm on fri and hopefully get my head around agent/tools build logic such that I can mock it out for tests [21:13] hoping to get some tips from thumper for the latter [21:14] oh and find some docs on identity and resources!! [21:17] menn0: what's the github-watcher charm? [21:19] rick_h_: it's a demo charm that thumper created ages ago. it received github webhook calls about changes to a github repo and notifies other charms. [21:19] menn0: oh, cool yea saw that one [21:20] rick_h_: it's was pretty hacky and I'm cleaning it up and extending it. I'm not sure if it's going to practically useful for anyone but working on it is good for me to get my head around charm development. [21:21] menn0: yea cool. I want to charm up https://github.com/juju/jenkins-github-lander one of these days and got curious if your thing related at all or was useful to my needs :) [21:22] rick_h_: github-watcher could possibly be used to trigger jenkins-github-lander but I'm not sure if it would be a good fit without looking at it closer. [21:22] menn0: yea, all good [21:23] the goal to the lander is to make it work off a post hook from github anyway [21:23] so trigger should be from github end automatically [21:23] just curious when you mentioned 'github-watcher' [21:23] rick_h_: well that's exactly what github-watcher does so maybe it could be useful? [21:24] rick_h_: i'll let you know when it's "done" so you can have a look [21:24] menn0: I think there's a slight overlap in wanting to be hook driven, but aside from that they're very different [21:24] menn0: cool thanks [21:25] rick_h_: I suspect you're right [22:19] charm install hook failed. I've fixed the install hook. How do I run the hook again? [22:20] juju destroy-service ... ; juju deploy ... ? [22:26] waigani: that's what I've been doing. you might need to use "juju resolved" a few times before you can remove the service. [22:26] menn0: right, it's just hanging with life: dying [22:28] cool, resolved got rid of the error state - now hopefully it will die ... [22:38] still hanging on dying ... [22:41] juju resolved --retry [23:01] thumper: are we in the normal hangout? [23:01] just setting one up [23:02] it's kinda lonely in here [23:03] waigani: https://plus.google.com/hangouts/_/canonical.com/onyx-standup [23:04] menn0, davecheney: ^^ too [23:33] davecheney: https://plus.google.com/hangouts/_/canonical.com/onyx-standup [23:34] waigani: thanks [23:34] i'm getting permission denied trying to access thta line [23:34] can someone invite me to the calendar invite [23:34] they tend to work better [23:34] thumper: ^ [23:35] davecheney: logged in as non-canonical user? [23:36] nope [23:36] happens all the time [23:36] g+ cna't figure out which account to use [23:36] davecheney: invided [23:40] hang on, still fighting with plugins
