=== xnox_ is now known as xnox [00:45] wallyworld: How much did you enjoy Origin yesteday? :-P [00:45] fuck off :-( [00:45] i was there at the ground too :-( [00:45] first time we have lost the opening game at lang park for 11 years [00:46] * wallyworld is sad [00:46] how's hp? miss canonical yet? [00:48] wallyworld: It's great fun, and only the people. [00:48] present company excluded :-) [00:49] Haha [00:49] i'm sure wgrant misses you [03:47] wallyworld: oh hai [03:47] hi there [03:47] how's things [03:47] wallyworld: fantastic :) - you? been in malta? [03:48] nah, stuck here in brisbane [03:48] we had our cloud sprint back in may [03:48] wallyworld: it is may :) [03:48] oh, april, early may [03:48] i thought it was june already [03:48] getting ahead of myself [03:48] 2 more days I think [03:49] how's all the openstack stuff going? [03:49] very well [03:49] good to hear, i woud expect nothing less from you :-) [03:49] we're just starting on scale and perf stuff [03:50] always important [03:50] got a big project to take heat to the next level [03:50] spamaps is in india right now kicking that off :) [03:50] so things hotting up [03:50] ha ha ha [03:50] trolololol [03:50] :) [03:50] yeah [03:51] sad that this channel gets little traffic nowadays :-( [03:54] yeah, less devs less chatter :( [03:57] lots of traffic on #juju-dev. we'll all way too busy [04:20] ah, I'm only in #juju [05:57] yeah #juju is more end user / customer focused [06:55] morning wgrant, I'm looking at the translations templates in LP before opening translations, and I see translations are all empty. Has the copy of translations from previous releases happened at all? E.g. https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/utopic/+lang/ca [06:57] dpm: Stats are regenerated only every couple of days. If you click on eg the top untranslated link, you'll see that there's actually nothing untranslated. [06:57] But the counts shown on the page you linked have to be cached. [06:59] Actually, as there are technically no changes these could take a week to update. [06:59] wgrant, is there a way to trigger the stats update? I wouldn't want to open translations with these stats, and I'd rather not have to wait for another week [07:00] I'll see what I can do, but my team's knowledge of Translations is still very limited. [07:01] thanks wgrant, I appreciate it === Ursinha-afk is now known as Ursinha [07:06] dpm, wgrant: aren't the stats supposed to update anyway as the imports happen? [07:06] jtv: Right, but there were only about 900 approved imports [07:07] jtv, I've no idea, but I didn't recall having to wait for a week for stats to get updated in previous openings [07:08] I'll try to investigate later, but busy sprint is busy. [07:08] * wgrant adds a task. [07:08] thanks wgrant! [07:10] IIRC the problem used to be that there were several _layers_ of cached stats. [07:10] Yeah, the POT's language totals are a separate nightly job [07:10] But even the POFile stats are out of date here. [07:10] First you had stats per POFile, and then there were aggregated per-language and per-template stats. [07:11] dpm: Have you seen anything to suggest that it's more than jsust the stats that are borked? [07:12] AFAICT the data itself is fine. [07:12] But I'm not 100% sure. [07:14] https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/utopic/+source/binutils/+pots/bfd looks fine [07:14] wgrant, I went through the imports queue and approved a few templates that needed to get in. So the imports queue looked ok to me. I've now checked a couple of translations for 'ca' and they look ok to me too [07:15] wgrant, yeah, individual templates look good too, it seems to be only the big list of templates for a language [07:15] i'd only expect DistroSeriesLanguage to be totally broken at this point, but it's clearly more than that. [07:19] Where does that page get those stats :S [07:19] Not from POFile. [07:22] Hm [07:22] I think it's getting dummy POFiles. [07:22] But why? [07:22] It's not even trying to look for the real ones. [07:39] There's another separate table somewhere in a forgotten corner for aggregated statistics, isn't there? [07:40] Dummy POFiles... might those happen because translations aren't open? [07:40] Shouldn't, but there's probably quite a stack of software to decide whether a POFile is ready for use. [07:49] wgrant, I've filed an RT to set up the utopic exports to start generating language packs. Who should I ping about it - webops in #launchpad-ops? [07:50] dpm: They'll ask for a specific crontab change that I'll have to give them. [07:51] wgrant, so how do I do this best? Shall I forward you the RT? [07:52] dpm: Right, Cc me and I'll reply. [07:54] wgrant, ok, done [07:54] Thanks === Ursinha is now known as Ursinha-afk === Ursinha-afk is now known as Ursinha === matsubara is now known as matsubara-afk [14:56] cprov: Could you please review the two small branches branchs I have on activereviews?
