ppisatiogra_: i have a vintage question for you: do you recall, back then, when everything was nice and you made ubuntu arm images? well, you used to inject a script that resized the image to the full capacity of the sd card - i believe it was a script that you injected in the initrd or something - do you know where i can find it? i didn't find any sing of it in the old rootstock project FWIW07:51

ogra_ppisati, jasper-initramfs ...07:55
ogra_last upload was from infinity in precise ... i dont even know if it is still in the archive07:56
ppisatihttps://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/jasper-initramfs07:56
ppisaticool, i'll give it a try, thanks! :)07:57
ppisatiFYI: i tried to hack your rootstock-touch to create normal ubuntu images07:57
ppisatibut after jumping through some hoops i bailed07:58
ppisatiand now i'm tossing together a script that does it07:58
ppisatimuch like the old rootstock07:58
ppisatiway simpler07:58

ogra_hmm, it should be easy ... just changing the live-build call should be enough08:00
ogra_in fact just changing the value of PROJECT (and dropping the click package hacks a bit lower down) should give you a proper build08:02
ppisatiogra_: i kind of did that08:05
ppisatiogra_: and i got to the point of getting a tarball08:05
ogra_"kind of" :)08:06
ppisatiogra_: but then you have the bootloader, the bootloader script and some other crap08:06
ppisatiogra_: and that's when i encountered...08:06
ppisatiogra_: cdimage or something08:06
ogra_yeah, rootstock is only for rootfses indeed08:06
ogra_right08:06
ppisatiand that's when i surrended08:08

rootedits seems after expanding the size of the micro-SD rootfs , its take longer for booting up  , and its becoming slower , any hint ? beaglebone black11:54
ppisatirooted: it takes more time to mount it (i guess)11:55
rootedwhat is the solution ?11:56
ppisatirooted: i guess none11:56
ppisatirooted: what's the size of you sd/fs?11:56
ppisatirooted: which fs are you using?11:56
rootedso , i should use an external hd ?11:56
rootedsize of sd is 8gb11:56
rootedive expanded the fs to the whole sd11:57
ppisatiusb hdd are faster for sure11:57
rootedwell , it was fater for the default img .. ive just increased the size of the partition11:58
rootedthere is no unused partition on the sd , or should i make an empty space ?11:59
ppisatirooted: no it's ok as it is12:02
ppisatirooted: when a fs is mounted, some operations are done on it12:02
ppisatirooted: so it's normal a delay with bigger fs12:02
ppisatirooted: and the bbone doesn't have a super speedy cpu so, it all makes sense12:03
rootedhmm12:03
rootedi dont know alot about partitions , but i was comparing with the BBB sd, and the raspberry pi sd , its seems there is alot of partition on its sd.. and its runs fast.12:04
