[18:06] <jakubo> hi, there was some awful breakage in the recent days. can anyone tell me what it was about?

[18:08] <jakubo> some boot failure? well for me the failure was right when shutting down after having done the "upgrade"
[18:09] <jakubo> and every time after it didnt boot nor did it shut down leaving nasty breaks in the FS
[18:15] <jakubo> leaving 3 systems in total shambles. having managed to recover one by sheer luck, that so many fs errors occurred that dist-upgrade basically reinstalled the whole system...
[18:42] <jakubo> is there a way to remove packages like python3 and reinstall it (ithout affecting other packages?
[18:46] <jtaylor> apt-get install package --reinstall
[19:26] <jakubo> it doesnt remove
[19:27] <jakubo> when i do that i get: E: Internal Error, No file name for python3:amd64
[19:27] <jakubo> only when i remove the debris it seems to work out
