[10:22] Howdy folks [12:09] qengho: i've lost track as to whether you're an ubuntu dev; if you are, could you poke at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Chipaca/PPU ? [12:11] Chipaca: I am not yet. I'll still endorse if you think it will help. [12:13] qengho: the thing says "sponsor" sometimes and "ubuntu developer" others for the same thing (person-endorsing-this-application). I'm assuming it's an and and not an or, for now. :) [12:13] qengho: but you can comment! [12:13] :) === soee_ is now known as soee [18:06] hi, there was some awful breakage in the recent days. can anyone tell me what it was about? [18:07] see ubuntu-devel mailing list [18:07] some boot failure [18:08] some boot failure? well for me the failure was right when shutting down after having done the "upgrade" [18:09] and every time after it didnt boot nor did it shut down leaving nasty breaks in the FS [18:15] leaving 3 systems in total shambles. having managed to recover one by sheer luck, that so many fs errors occurred that dist-upgrade basically reinstalled the whole system... [18:42] is there a way to remove packages like python3 and reinstall it (ithout affecting other packages? [18:46] apt-get install package --reinstall [19:26] it doesnt remove [19:27] when i do that i get: E: Internal Error, No file name for python3:amd64 [19:27] only when i remove the debris it seems to work out === trism_ is now known as trism
