[01:06] jrgifford: I've heard your looking for speakers for OLF in Oct. [01:24] belkinsa: < cyberanger> jrgiffor: I've heard your looking for speakers for OLF in Oct. [01:24] Who is this, Unit193? [01:24] And what LoCo? [01:24] TN. [01:25] Ah, good. Tell them to e-mail me, you, and jrgifford. [01:25] And skellat [01:25] belkinsa: Psst, he's here now. ;) [01:25] Oh, I see. [01:26] o/ cyberanger. [01:26] He's great with servers and that sort of thing. [01:26] Maybe we could have something on UBuntu Server. [01:27] hey belkinsa, I'm the de-facto head of the TN loco (I say defacto since our loco decided to not hold elections, favoring an informal structure and kinda left me holding on to the PoC role) [01:28] I understand, I think many LoCo's have this issue. [01:29] well, the switch to unity, the older process to become offical, had a way to irratite members (full disclosure, myself included, like something enough you'll have things to hate too) [01:31] so TN is more of a Ubuntu leaning lug than a loco these days, if it keeps people intrested, connected and helps ubuntu (we do aid in troubleshooting when an issue is brought up, so less on #ubuntu ) then I'll settle for that [01:31] I see. [01:33] my background is servers, networking and crypto, I'm not sure I'd actually be there on friday for ubucon, I've already got a cfp for saturday [01:33] I see. [01:36] do you have topics you still need to fill, my thoughts for ubucon would be focused on apt-secure mainly [01:36] Um, who has the list? [01:37] * cyberanger looks around cluelessly [01:37] * belkinsa facepalms [01:37] belkinsa: List? [01:37] Yeah, of the topics from at least the last planning meeting [01:38] on your ml, or irc logs, lemme see if I can find them on the wiki perhaps [01:38] It's should be in a logs, date is in ml [01:42] anyone from the NE, Ashtubla County area perhaps? [01:42] skellat is from there [01:42] http://ohio.ubuntu-us.org/map/user This has quite a few of the LoCo members. [01:42] [ User locations | Ubuntu Ohio ] - https://j.mp/GIyBhd [01:42] formerly my area too [01:43] But it's outdated [01:43] should say across the line, in PA, but that didn't stop me from crossing it a bit [01:44] belkinsa: How so? [01:45] Some moved, like Cheri and many of these people are inactive. [01:45] meeting adgenda https://wiki.ubuntu.com/OhioTeam/MeetingAgendaJune2014 [01:45] [ OhioTeam/MeetingAgendaJune2014 - Ubuntu Wiki ] - https://j.mp/1qBbNn7 [01:45] No, it was a ealier one. [01:46] It was one meeting before [01:47] EOL announcements, doodle poll [01:47] Not much there. [01:47] that appears it for this month [01:47] https://lists.launchpad.net/ubuntu-us-ohio/msg01428.html [01:47] [ Meeting Tonight at 9 PM : Mailing list archive : ubuntu-us-ohio team in Launchpad ] - https://j.mp/1qBbSr0 [01:47] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/OhioTeam/MeetingAgendaMarch2014 [01:47] [ OhioTeam/MeetingAgendaMarch2014 - Ubuntu Wiki ] - https://j.mp/1rR9n2U [01:48] ah, wasn't thinking that far back [01:48] Yeah, we only have meetings a little more often than you guys. ;) [01:48] granted that far back half of us were still dealing with snow, maybe all of us [01:49] Northern Ohio, I think, had more snow than Southern Ohio. [01:49] But still crazy winter it was. [01:49] We need more snow. [01:50] Agreed. [01:50] Looks like I have two tasks for tomorrow for this team. [01:50] 1. Add more snow to Ohio. 2. Drink coffee. [01:50] xD [01:53] I spent the winter in Erie, PA & Buffalo, NY and had to drive to Cleveland once or twice too, grew up on the lake, but this winter was extreme even with that in mind [01:54] * belkinsa only lived in the Cincinnati rea [01:54] area* [01:54] granted, I loved everything aside from one extreme white out and a couple of issues near the KY-OH line (Cincinnati construction and KY drivers, how do you all manage day to day with that) [01:55] the issues were ice more than snow, this was late febuary if I recall, the whiteout was Jan. 5th [01:55] cyberanger: Tell me about it, I had to drive during one of the storms, and it was after 10PM. Another bad storm we all were in the car, when it stared fish-tailing, down the highway, at ~50MPH... [01:57] yeah, we were talking about that, think that was the same storm I was driving from Ashtabula to Buffalo, got into downtown buffalo 10 min. before NY closed the thruway (read: interstate) [01:57] belkinsa: been to the taste of belgium? [01:57] Nope. [01:58] When I do goto Cincinnati, it's where I tend to grab a bite
