I've been playing with the new Kubuntu on my netbook over the past couple of days, looking for an update from Ubuntu 10.04 NBR. I'm struggling to do some things that seem obvious and necessary, such as replacing the widgets (I guess) on the opening screen with things that I would use. I hav figured out how to add and remove things on the favourutes bar, and I can add and delete the widgets on the screen using a list that I [08:16] o I delete things off that list, and add things that I want? [08:41] someone how laptop pkgs got installed and are conflicting with my plasma 5 upgrade, thing is I'm using a desktop so i don't need backlight packages etc. how can I completely remove all laptop packages and keep them from being installed on future updates ? [08:41] specifically powerdevil [08:43] i've pulled the dpkg list and know how to change install to hold , is there a specific package that will trigger the rest of them to be removed also, should i use deinstall instead of hold [09:21] Good morning.
