RAOFsargas: Yes03:09
RAOFsargas: But it won't be in the 14.04 repositories, so you'd need to download it manually.03:09
sargasRAOF: Thanks03:25
sargasRAOF: I am running 14.04 on the Acer C720 Chromebook03:25
sargasRAOF: Trying to get it to suspend properly03:26
sargasRAOF: I think kernel 3.11.0 will do the job03:26

xeviousWill dmsetup remove flush any buffers for the device prior to removing it, or should sync be run manually? If I do need to sync manually, would `blockdev --flushbufs /dev/mapper/name` accomplish what I need? For reference, I'm concerned because of this: http://www.redhat.com/archives/dm-devel/2012-January/msg00082.html Has this been patched in recent versions of Device Mapper? If so, which version?15:40

mnaserI finally found the reason why I was having issues (bug).  It is reported as fix committed.  How often / when does Ubuntu make releases?  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/134691723:08
ubot5Launchpad bug 1346917 in linux (Ubuntu Trusty) "Using KSM on NUMA capable machines can cause KVM guest performance and stability issues" [High,Fix committed]23:08
brendandmnaser, should be in the next SRU'ed kernel23:19
mnaserbrendand: hate to sound impatient but im going on disabling ksm on a ton of machines, is there a schedule when that kernel goes out or is it based on kernel team's decision "we're due for an update"23:20
brendandmnaser, no there is a regular cycle23:21
brendandmnaser, every 3 weeks23:21
mnaserah, gotcha23:21
brendandmnaser, looks like we're at the start of that23:21
mnaserbrendand: that's good enough for me to have an idea :)23:22
brendandmnaser, so not longer than 3 weeks, but not much shorter it looks like23:22
mnaserbrendand: it's alright, i can live with disabling ksm until then... thank you so much23:22
