[14:54] ayr-ton: It is. You can charm up zabbix as a subordinate service - which runs with scope:container [14:56] ayr-ton: https://juju.ubuntu.com/docs/authors-subordinate-services.html - take a look here - feel free to ping me direct if you have any questions [14:56] hmmmm [14:57] lazyPower, very interesting. Thank you very much (: Is that what I'm looking for. [15:00] hello folks, has anyone gotten openstack HA to work with LXCs ? [15:09] merlin2144, http://marcoceppi.com/2014/06/deploying-openstack-with-just-two-machines/ [15:21] mbruzek, marcoceppi: hey, so sam has a pretty good point/idea here about the docs. He's goign through charming his first service and the fact our docs are focused on bash - has left him kind of in the dark for how to get moving with python. He's going to document his learning, and submit that to us. If we get this before we head out to the sprint, that'll give us a good base for things to focus on. [15:21] okay [15:21] thoughts? comments? suggestions? [15:21] it's been on a long list of things to do [15:22] yeah, we do have a huge todo list [15:22] the idea behind bash hooks is that it's easy for most anyone to grok [15:22] but this is on teh focus list for our sprint. [15:22] but we have "Create a howto for Python charms and charmhelpers" on a list somewhere [15:22] not saying it's not [15:22] lazyPower, python is a language that not everyone knows. [15:22] yeah - that was my comment initially - that we dont want to just focus on python even though its recommended, charms are agnostic. [15:22] charm author docs in general are lacking compared to user docs [15:23] * lazyPower nods [15:23] thats another good idea for a blog post to start the story [15:23] * arosales has an idea of showing a few charm author workflows [15:23] lazyPower, I would be OK with creating a getting started with python in addition to bash [15:23] getting started with charming in python [15:23] and we can then translate that post into docs [15:23] 1. bash workflow 2. python workflow w/ charm helpers 3. Multiple language workflow [15:24] arosales, +1 [15:24] then have good flag bearer charms at the end of each workflow with pointers to examples on relations, and config. [15:34] * arosales put that on todo list [15:41] stokachu, do you know what I'm doing wrong here: https://github.com/Ubuntu-Solutions-Engineering/cloud-installer/issues/142 [15:43] mattyw, looking into it now [15:44] mattyw, can you post your environments.yaml file to the bug? [15:44] scrubbing out your admin-pass [15:47] stokachu, I've destroyed that install, I'll give it another go and send over the yaml if I get the same error [15:47] mattyw, i also updated the bug with some other info to capture too [15:47] mattyw, it could be a service didnt get related [15:48] stokachu, ok thanks very much [15:48] np === hatch__ is now known as hatch [16:49] stokachu, just pasted the details on the bug [16:50] thanks will take a look [16:51] mattyw, looks like the relations aren't completed [16:53] Hi has anyone gotten openstack HA to work with LXCs ? Just wanted to find out if this is something that is currently supported [16:54] stokachu, which relations aren't done yet? [16:54] mattyw, looks like all of them [16:55] mattyw, keystone is the big one that needs to be related to the majority of the openstack services [16:55] stokachu, the output of cloud-install seemed to suggest it was ready - maybe I was just being too eager [16:56] stokachu, I only waited till I got all the ticks [16:56] mattyw, thats probably something we need to address, some way of determining when all relations are complete [16:56] that satisfy an openstack deployment [16:57] mattyw, yea it usually takes a few minutes after all checkmarks to have the relations finish [16:57] stokachu, I'll try it again and give it a bit [16:58] i created a card for us to review the relationship status of a deployment === roadmr is now known as roadmr_afk === html is now known as htmlinprogress === roadmr_afk is now known as roadmr === CyberJacob|Away is now known as CyberJacob === urulama is now known as urulama-afk === viperZ28_ is now known as viperZ28 [19:56] Hi All!
