[18:44] melodomes: you will have to ask and see if a volunteer can assist [18:50] I just got Ubuntu Studio 14.04.1 and my touchpad is not working, what can I do? [18:51] melodomes: well, keep in mind, this is likely not related to ubuntustuduio specifically.. i would go upstream and try troubleshooting [18:51] melodomes: i wuold check any buttons that can disable the trackpad.. try plugging in an external mouse and just applying updates [18:57] Oh, sorry. I'll check somewhere else. Yeah, I already updated but thank you anyway. [18:58] melodomes: i didnt say you need to leave.. im jusy offering access to a larger community [18:58] just* [18:58] melodomes: you can check again for updates, to confirm.. in a terminal.. "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade" [19:19] Done and still not working :/ [19:23] hi i'm new [21:44] Some newer laptops need drivers that might not be supported [21:44] I had that problem myself [21:44] A newer update of a kernel fixed it [21:44] trusty may have some issues with that, probably a newer kernel would fix it
