[14:08] zyga, you have this week and all next week for testing [14:09] thanks [14:25] rtg: thanks for the ping, will test now [14:27] stgraber, yeah, bjf is pretty harsh about reverting unverified patches [14:59] tjaalton, bug #1353405 and bug #1338582 need verification [14:59] bug 1353405 in linux (Ubuntu Trusty) "[i915_bdw] fix a warning message during resume from suspend" [Undecided,Fix committed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1353405 [15:00] bug 1338582 in linux (Ubuntu Trusty) "[i915_bdw] No picture on BDW-Y SDP with latest kernel" [Medium,In progress] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1338582 [15:01] bjf: indeed, verified [15:20] tjaalton, thanks much === Beeelow_ is now known as Beeelow [15:32] /msg NickServ identify whatever [17:05] smb: hey still around? === Mikee_C is now known as Mikee_C_afk [17:20] rtg: fix confirmed, sorry for the delay! [17:20] stgraber, no problem. did you fix the tag ? [17:55] hey all [17:57] I'm attemping to build a specific kernel release for armhf (3.13.0-47-generic) and I'm wondering the best way to get the specific toolchain that used to create the distributed binary for 3.13.0-47-generic... [17:58] based on dmesg output from that booted kernel, it appears to be gcc-4.8, but for my purposes, I want to try to duplicate the results of that build as exactly as possible [17:59] would it have been built using the gcc-4.8-armhf-cross package on an Ubuntu x86 build host? [18:09] and I see that gcc-4.8-armhf-cross is in main on 14.04... [18:09] I am using 12.04... will that prevent me from picking that package up? [18:13] putting the toolchain aside for the moment, how would I find out what kernel config was used to build that distributed kernel binary? [18:15] (besides /proc/config.gz on the running kernel) [18:20] jrsharp_, all packages are built using native compilers, so the armhf bits are built on an arm host [18:21] though you can build using a cross compiler environment, e.g., trusty-amd64 [18:22] install an LXC container or trusty-amd64 chroot [18:30] rtg: yup [20:54] rtg: thanks! [20:55] as for the kernel configs... /proc/config.gz is not available on this one [22:05] zequence: *nudge*, re: precise lowlatency. [22:05] zequence: ... which is in your PPA, un-nudge.
