Reploprecently ( I presume since some update ),  this home computer locks the screen quite fast .  it didn't before. I presume I had previously found and disabled the relevant setting18:43
Replopso I'm again searching where to tweak the automatic screen lock behavior18:44
ianorlinwiare you on 14.04?18:44
Replopyes18:44
ianorlinare*18:44
ianorlinok try light locker settings what does it say the screen locker setting is?18:45
Replopoh.18:45
Replop"Light locker" .....18:46
Replopthanks, I presume that was the name I was seeking .18:46
ianorlinyes18:46
Replopstrangely the option "automatically lock the session" was set on "Never"18:47
ianorlinthen maybe look at xfce4 power manager I have seen people with this porblem before but have a hard time remembering the solution18:48
melodiehi18:48
Replopand lock on suspend was disabled ( I presume.  O visible, slider hiding the blue I )18:48
Replophi melodie19:37

zota_i get no response, when I click to "Desktop Page settings"19:39
zota_*i get no response, when I click to "Desktop Pager settings"19:39
zota_are you there wxl?19:40
melodiezota_ what happens to you?19:47
melodiezota_ what about asking #ubuntu-bugs if they have a known bug related to your finding?19:48
zota_melodie: its openbox problem19:49
melodiezota_ openbox does not have problems19:51
melodiebut19:51
zota_or DE19:52
melodieyou might go to obconf to configure your pager :)19:52
melodiewhich version of lxpanel are you using?19:52
zota_there is a desktop pager bar in the taskbar, right click -> desktop pager settings and no response, filesystem is loading, but no result19:53
zota_melodie: lxpanel 0.6.119:54
melodieis that the very latest one?19:54
zota_hm19:54
zota_nooooo19:54
zota_but I upgraded the whole system after installing yesterday19:55
zota_0.7 the latest19:55
zota_"lxpanel is already the newest version." hm19:56
zota_but i have 0.6, and the website said the latest is 0.719:56
melodiedo you think you could try the very latest, even by using the lubuntu daily ppa (and deactivate once lxpanel update)19:56
melodieupdated19:56
melodieif that latest version is available in lubuntu daily ppa, of course19:57
melodiethen:19:57
zota_i dont want reboot my system, because I'm hosting19:57
melodieif the issue is still there you could head up to #lxde at the OFTC irc server, and ask LStranger about your bug.19:57
zota_so maybe later19:57
melodiein the meantime you can check in obconf if you can setup your pager the way you want it to be, this is generally where the configuration for it is done.19:58
zota_yeah i know19:58

TravisHello.21:07
silverliono/ Tra21:07
TravisWhat might cause Lubuntu to give me an unsafe swap space error, when I try to encrypt my drive?21:07
silverlionwxl, that would be a question for you ;)21:08
TravisIf I don't use it, I can install with no issues.21:09
silverlionTravis, honestly I have no clue21:10
silverlionMaybe one of the others could help21:10
silverlionI am a Greenhorn too21:10
TravisI am going to install it without, to test something.21:11
TravisIt keeps asking me to run swapoff or configure an encrypted swap space.21:15
TravisI've tried again, with no luck.  I keep getting this "An unsafe swap space has been detected" error.22:07
TravisIt's asking me to disable it or configure an encrypted swap space then run the setup of encrypte volumes again.22:08
TravisI found a solution to my problem:  swapoff -a22:21
TravisI turned it back on and it still took the encryption.22:31
