I didnt find any options [07:48] interesting, because every email client have a same option, but this not === BQ_ is now known as BQ === BQ_ is now known as BQ === BQ_ is now known as BQ === BQ_ is now known as BQ === weld__ is now known as weld === RedDeath is now known as Guest71156 === weld_ is now known as weld [18:41] hi [18:42] hi Replop anyway I could help you [18:43] maybe [18:43] recently ( I presume since some update ), this home computer locks the screen quite fast . it didn't before. I presume I had previously found and disabled the relevant setting [18:44] so I'm again searching where to tweak the automatic screen lock behavior [18:44] wiare you on 14.04? [18:44] yes [18:44] are* [18:45] ok try light locker settings what does it say the screen locker setting is? [18:45] oh. [18:46] "Light locker" ..... [18:46] thanks, I presume that was the name I was seeking . [18:46] yes [18:47] strangely the option "automatically lock the session" was set on "Never" [18:48] then maybe look at xfce4 power manager I have seen people with this porblem before but have a hard time remembering the solution [18:48] hi [18:48] and lock on suspend was disabled ( I presume. O visible, slider hiding the blue I ) [19:37] hi melodie [19:37] and yes, disabling light locker did the trick [19:38] found a bug [19:38] again [19:38] third in a row [19:39] i get no response, when I click to "Desktop Page settings" [19:39] *i get no response, when I click to "Desktop Pager settings" [19:40] are you there wxl? [19:47] zota_ what happens to you? [19:48] zota_ what about asking #ubuntu-bugs if they have a known bug related to your finding? [19:49] melodie: its openbox problem [19:51] zota_ openbox does not have problems [19:51] but [19:52] or DE [19:52] you might go to obconf to configure your pager :) [19:52] which version of lxpanel are you using? [19:53] there is a desktop pager bar in the taskbar, right click -> desktop pager settings and no response, filesystem is loading, but no result [19:54] melodie: lxpanel 0.6.1 [19:54] is that the very latest one? [19:54] hm [19:54] nooooo [19:55] but I upgraded the whole system after installing yesterday [19:55] 0.7 the latest [19:56] "lxpanel is already the newest version." hm [19:56] but i have 0.6, and the website said the latest is 0.7 [19:56] do you think you could try the very latest, even by using the lubuntu daily ppa (and deactivate once lxpanel update) [19:56] updated [19:57] if that latest version is available in lubuntu daily ppa, of course [19:57] then: [19:57] i dont want reboot my system, because I'm hosting [19:57] if the issue is still there you could head up to #lxde at the OFTC irc server, and ask LStranger about your bug. [19:57] so maybe later [19:58] in the meantime you can check in obconf if you can setup your pager the way you want it to be, this is generally where the configuration for it is done. [19:58] yeah i know [19:58] thanks man [20:04] yeah there isn't a 0.7 in lubuntu yet [20:05] I'm pretty sure it won't hit utopic either. [20:05] zota_ please don't call me "man" [20:05] yeah utopic has 0.6.2 [20:05] ?:( [20:06] doesn't it break some plugins? [20:06] Should, it's entirely different (also supposed to be more simple). [20:09] zota_ have you heard me? :) [20:12] melodie: :D [20:13] have you or not?? [20:13] nop, i did read you [20:13] :P [20:16] so don't call me man, please.... ok ? [20:18] of course my lady:) [20:19] ah thanks! === Guest71156 is now known as RedDeath [21:01] good night [21:07] Hello. [21:07] o/ Tra [21:07] What might cause Lubuntu to give me an unsafe swap space error, when I try to encrypt my drive? [21:08] wxl, that would be a question for you ;) [21:09] If I don't use it, I can install with no issues. [21:10] Travis, honestly I have no clue [21:10] Maybe one of the others could help [21:10] I am a Greenhorn too [21:11] I am going to install it without, to test something. [21:15] It keeps asking me to run swapoff or configure an encrypted swap space. [22:07] I've tried again, with no luck. I keep getting this "An unsafe swap space has been detected" error. [22:08] It's asking me to disable it or configure an encrypted swap space then run the setup of encrypte volumes again. [22:21] I found a solution to my problem: swapoff -a [22:31] I turned it back on and it still took the encryption.
