jarnos | Is there a reason why xscreensaver is used instead of light-locker as screen locker in 14.04? By default, if I set "Lock screen before sleep" in session settings, and resume, my desktop is visible about 5 seconds before xscreensaver shows its lock screen. | 14:58 |
jarnos | jarnos, BTW light-locker locks before sleep regardless of the Xfce setting; it has own setting dialog. | 15:00 |
holstein | thats one of the first things i change.. i remove the locker/screensaver and use xtrlock | 15:00 |
holstein | !info xtrlock | 15:01 |
ubottu | xtrlock (source: xtrlock): Minimal X display lock program. In component universe, is optional. Version 2.6 (trusty), package size 7 kB, installed size 64 kB | 15:01 |
holstein | i know that changing the locker is on "the list" upstream as far as things do deal with | 15:01 |

Guest98372 | Hi! How to use Rakarrack and listen Youtube at the same time in Ubuntu Studio 14.04? | 17:05 |
jarnos | holstein, If xscreensaver is used for locking, a workaround for desktop exposing is to add a launcher that runs a script "xflock4 && xfce4-session-logout -s", and have "Lock screen before sleep" disabled in session settings; then you can choose if you suspend with or without locking. For some reason this does not work, if light-locker is used. | 22:41 |
