wxlum, anyone looked at the tracker recently?00:49
wxllooks like it's a 40300:49
knomewxl, pointed that out in #canonical-sysadmin00:53
knomeif it's not fixed in a day or so, file a RT ticket00:53
knomeRT ticket filed: https://rt.ubuntu.com/Ticket/Display.html?id=2568500:59

LocutusOfBorg1Hi, can anybody please retry ibus/1.5.9-1ubuntu1 ?08:15
LocutusOfBorg1thanks08:15
LocutusOfBorg1should build now that vala-0.26 is on main08:15
infinityLocutusOfBorg1: Retried.08:18
LocutusOfBorg1thanks infinity09:08
ogra_infinity, still awake ?09:43
infinityogra_: No.09:45
ogra_cosy sleeps then :)09:45
ogra_cjwatson, sorry to disturb your vacation ... is there any way (var or option) to make cdimage ignore the isotracker (machine has issues, returning 403's so we cant build any images)09:48
ogra_(sadly it doesnt look like that will be fixed quickly)09:49
cjwatsonI'm not on vacation09:53
cjwatsondo you have any concrete information here from IS?09:54
cjwatsonthere wasn't much useful in the ticket09:54
infinitycjwatson: See /msg09:54
cjwatsonok09:54
* infinity goes to try to sleep before morning meetings.09:55
ogra_cjwatson, yes, and there is an incident report and RT tickets09:55
ogra_being discussed in #is09:55
cjwatsonI'd rather not reconfigure cdimage, but I can arrange for it to proceed despite that particular error09:56
ogra_well, it looks to me like it will take a while getting all these machines back09:57
ogra_so at least for rtm it would be helpful ... since we're working on milestone preparation09:58
cjwatsonwhen I've said I'm going to arrange for it to proceed, there's no need to continue trying to persuade me ...10:00
ogra_sorry10:00
cjwatsondone10:01
ogra_thanks, starting an rtm build10:04
Wellarkcan I have the nominations accepted on these bugs please:11:02
Wellarkhttps://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-network/+bug/138104111:02
ubot2Launchpad bug 1381041 in indicator-network (Ubuntu RTM) "Network indicator is sometimes blank" [Critical,In progress]11:02
Wellarkhttps://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-network/+bug/137441911:02
ubot2Launchpad bug 1374419 in indicator-network (Ubuntu RTM) "[TOPBLOCKER] Threading issue with the MenuModel Updates" [Critical,In progress]11:02
cjwatsonWellark: approved for vivid (kind of unnecessary, you mostly don't need to target to the development series, but done anyway).  for utopic, does this mean you're intending to issue SRUs?11:03
Wellarkcjwatson: I don't know what the plan is for utopic TBH. but I want to utilize LP to see what has landed and where11:04
WellarkI have twenty non critical bugs in line as well, so might be easier if somebody gives me the rights to target my upstream components to ubuntu releases straight :)11:04
cjwatsonwell, approved the nominations for utopic, but this isn't with my ~ubuntu-sru hat on, I haven't thought about whether those would be sensible SRUs11:05
cjwatsonno point asking me since I can't11:05
Wellarkcjwatson: thanks!11:05
cjwatsonhttps://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBugControl11:05
WellarkI'm part of bugcontrol11:05
cjwatsonwait maybe that's only for nominations11:05
Wellarkyep11:05
Wellarkanyway. it's enough for now that I get them actually targeted11:06
Wellarkthen when we figure out what to do with SRU's11:06
Wellarkit's easy to set them as Invalid if we don't do them11:06
WellarkI just need _some_ way of tracking what has landed and where11:06
Wellarkand LP is pretty good tool for that :)11:06
cjwatsonWellark: You need to have permission to upload the package directly in order to be able to approve its bug nominations.11:07
Wellarkcjwatson: right. ok.11:08
cjwatsonSo one of the paths in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuDevelopers11:08
Wellarkmaybe we should open up the discussion later to actually decouple the two11:08
cjwatsonI can't say I agree that would be worthwhile, but whatever11:08
Wellarkas I don't actually _want_ direct upload rights11:08
Wellarksuch things scare me :)11:08
cjwatsonI want to encourage more people to put the work in to have upload permissions, if they're relevant developers11:08
cjwatsonI think you should get over that :)11:09
Wellarkbut I would like to be able to manage my bugs11:09
Wellarkwell with great power comes.. and so forth :)11:09
cjwatsonDevelopers of packages should be able to demonstrate the ability to upload them safely11:09
WellarkI actually like the idea of machines uploading :)11:10
Wellarkless room for human (my!) error :)11:10
cjwatsonIt's not really desperately relevant who's actually physically doing the upload11:10
cjwatsonAnd, BTW, it's a bug that citrain lets you work around lack of upload permissions11:10
cjwatsonOne we want to close11:10
Wellarkagreed.11:10
cjwatsonPlease get upload permissions for anything you're effectively uploading by way of the citrain robot11:10
Wellarkwill do that. thanks! :)11:11
cjwatsonBecause citrain is really just acting on your behalf in an elaborate way, and we should model that properly11:11
Wellarkand who knows.. maybe one day citrain becomes selfaware and tries to terminate the human race and we have to revert back to manual uploads. so having the permissions around would not hurt ;)11:12
bdmurrayslangasek: The SRU for bug 1386241 adds a new binary package cups-filters-ippusbxd but it seems to me nothing will recommend that.19:54
ubot2bug 1386241 in system-config-printer (Ubuntu Trusty) "Add the full IPP Everywhere support from Utopic to Trusty" [High,In progress] https://launchpad.net/bugs/138624119:54
bdmurrayslangasek: ah, actually cups depends on it19:55
infinityzequence: Sorry about the torrent screwup.  By way of pennance, I'll seed from my machine for a while now that it's fixed. :P21:21
zequenceinfinity: Do you have any statistics on amount of downloads and such?21:27
zequenceJust came to think of it. I realize we probably don't have as many as many other flavors, due to our niche.21:28
infinityzequence: I have no such statistics, no.  Canonical IS may collect them, but I'm not sure.21:29
zequenceok, thanks.21:29
zequenceAnd, thanks again for correcting the torrent thing. I must admit I don't really know what kind of problem that is.21:30
infinityzequence: In the end, it was a goof on our side.  The publishing scripts somehow entirely missed publishing that one ISO to the path that gets mirrored to the torrent tracker.  Still not entirely sure how or why that happened, though I assume it has something to do with us publishing amd64 and i386 separately (due to the hack I had to do to get i386 to work), so that's a hint at where to look, at least.21:32
