[00:44] ugh so you can't even hardcode a specific version to be sure [00:45] except for some *family same* reason, 'TLS' also maps to SSLv3 [00:45] *safe [00:45] uuuuuuuugh [00:45] so we now we have to specify TLSv1,TLSv1.1,TLSv1.2 [00:45] now comes the fun parts. some parts of TLS aren't mapped to any of these names, and only mapped to 'TLS' [00:45] can tomcat be recompiled without SSL entirely? or is that off the cards [00:46] so if we ask for 'TLS', it gives us SSLv3 for free. if we don't ask for 'TLS', we don't get all the parts of TLS we need [00:47] that's derp.
