If I log into another wm say i3 the multimedia keys aren't working. What is being run to get the multimedia keys working? [08:46] apparently this use to be handled by gnome-setting-daemon (now unity-settings-daemon). === karni is now known as karni-brb === karni-brb is now known as karni [10:07] tsdgeos, FYI, and if you have any ideas... our mega-silo isn't good, causes media-hub to go to 300% CPU... and our dash ap tests fail 'cause 10s isn't enough for the fake scopes to load [10:08] * Saviq is splitting the silo into stuff that already landed in rtm to bring trunk up to date [10:08] :( [10:08] Saviq: which silo number is it? [10:08] tsdgeos, http://people.canonical.com/~platform/citrain_dashboard/#?distro=ubuntu&q=landing-005 [10:11] can't immediately find something that'd cause that [10:11] maybe the vj_settle one? [10:11] tsdgeos, no, that's in rtm already [10:12] then no idea really :/ [10:12] we should bisect i guess [10:12] but yeah let's lang at lesat what's in rtm :D [10:14] tsdgeos, yeah, that will get us a cleaner slate indeed [11:29] mzanetti, hey, you up yet? [11:29] Saviq: yep [11:29] mzanetti, your index branch needsfixin' [11:29] ack [11:29] mzanetti, autopilot's wait_for_dash [11:29] mzanetti, still waits for clickscope to be current === _salem is now known as salem_ === MacSlow is now known as MacSlow|lunch === dandrader is now known as dandrader|afk === alan_g is now known as alan_g|lunch === karni is now known as karni-lunch === dandrader|afk is now known as dandrader [13:38] Saviq: those ap tests aren't failing for me [13:38] Saviq: http://paste.ubuntu.com/8747092/ [13:39] on the phone all tests are failing for me though... doesn't seem to paint anything [13:39] mzanetti, they do on the phone [13:39] can't repro there [13:40] Saviq: does that silo also hold a change that makes the click scope not being the first one? [13:41] because my branch doesn't change that [13:41] mzanetti, but it is not first [13:41] mzanetti, that's the thing, it's second [13:42] but not because of my branch [13:42] mzanetti, no [13:42] mzanetti, but your branch makes it so that it does not switch to it on startup http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/8747132/ [13:42] mzanetti, and wait_for_dash still expects that [13:42] here it is the first... [13:43] this used to be the second when we had teh scopes scope [13:43] mzanetti, fake scopes [13:43] mzanetti, not real ones [13:43] ah [13:43] so why does it pass on the desktop then? [13:43] should be the same there, no? [13:43] mzanetti, that's a very good question indeed [13:55] Saviq: can you try this? http://paste.ubuntu.com/8747240/ [13:55] still passes for me... [13:55] but again... not really sure what's wrong... [14:00] mzanetti, can't right now [14:16] mzanetti, ok flashing rtm now [14:17] Saviq: actually this is the correct diff: http://paste.ubuntu.com/8747428/ [14:17] Saviq: indeed it wants index 1 [14:17] still not sure why it works here with "clickscope" too === MacSlow|lunch is now known as MacSlow [14:17] mzanetti, why 1? isn't leftmost 0? [14:21] or maybe not... not it passes with 0 again [14:21] grrrr === karni-lunch is now known as karni [14:34] mzanetti, yeah, it seems to work with 0 here [14:35] not with 1 [14:35] on the phone that is [14:35] yeah... 0 is the good one [14:35] will push [14:35] Saviq: ^ [14:36] mzanetti, kk [14:38] Saviq: pushed [14:39] mzanetti, I'm running the whole suite now [14:39] cheers [14:40] mzanetti, will the objectName change not break get_scope() now? [14:40] or something else altogether [14:40] afaict this wasn't used. the others just use ("QQuickLoader", scopeId="something") [14:41] never really using objectName on it [14:41] mzanetti, http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/8747668/ [14:41] meh... sorry [14:41] fixing [14:55] Saviq: pushed the fix [14:55] mzanetti, tx [14:57] mzanetti, TBH I think the fact that the objects were named after the scopes was kinda on purpose, was part of the test really... [14:58] Saviq: seems to only be used to wait for it [14:59] mzanetti, I mean in the qml tests [14:59] like var scope = findChild("first one"); waitForRendering(scope) [14:59] or tryCompare(scope, status, Loader.Ready) [14:59] mzanetti, is it finding across the whole dash? [15:00] mzanetti, or with in a certain index? [15:00] Saviq: in testDash it's only used in initTestCase() [15:00] mzanetti, [15:00] ok [15:00] Saviq: in testDashContent its used in a few more places, but also only for waiting for it [15:01] Saviq: the tests for scrolling left/right already use dashContentList.currentIndex etc [15:01] mzanetti, ok [15:28] mzanetti, did you set up a ppa for shellRotation? [15:28] dandrader: not yet... have to fix some launcher issue first [15:28] mzanetti, ok. just asking because this branch should also be added there: lp:~dandrader/qtmir/supportedOrientations [15:29] ah ok. thanks === alan_g|lunch is now known as alan_g|tea [15:42] just been wondering why the "change window" element of the UI (the stuff that comes when you press alt+tab) is not observing current windows. Example: You hold alt+tab and it opens, then a application launches, but the element doesn't update to show new window. Small issue but still a w weird behavior. Have no idead about Unity's implementation so I don't know how hard it would it be to fix it. === alan_g|tea is now known as alan_g [15:42] I figured somebody would be intrested. === dandrader is now known as dandrader|lunch [15:55] zkroliko, best file a bug under http://bugs.launchpad.net/unity [15:56] heh [16:04] greyback: ping [16:06] tsdgeos: pong [16:06] greyback: i guess you have no way to reproduce that dbus dead lock right?
