[11:53] zequence: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-lowlatency/+bug/1389061 [11:53] Ubuntu bug 1389061 in Kernel SRU Workflow "linux-lowlatency: -proposed tracker" [Medium,In progress] [11:56] hi [11:56] i'm still trying to build a new kernel flavour [11:57] and i'm running into "previous or current modules file missing!" [11:57] what do i need to do about that? [12:31] ppf, add the ignore files to the previous abi directory for those flavours [12:31] ppf, doesn't the error message now even tell you waht was missing [12:41] the .modules file of a previous kernel version [12:41] (which is missing of course because i'm adding the new flavour just now) [12:42] apw: how do i add the ignore files to the previous ani directory? [12:42] well the error message tells you the abi number it is lookin for IIRC [12:42] i find it hard to find comprehensive documentation on what's required to create a new flavour [12:42] yes, it does [12:43] abi/3.13.0-38.65/amd64/ [12:43] and in there, you want to add files called "ignore" and "ignore.modules" [12:43] which turns it off [12:44] will that ignore these for all flavours? [12:44] note that they cannot be empty is you are going to upload it to a PPA etc [12:44] yes that ignores the abi for all flavours in that arch [12:45] you probalally want to ignore it in all builds, as you will be likely building i386 at least as well to get the indep arch packages [12:47] alright, i'll give it a shot!\ [12:47] thank you :) [13:20] infinity: Thanks [15:30] zyga, there is a new precise in -proposed. please ignore it. some CVE fixes are working their way through upstream right now and when they pop we will pull them and respin [15:32] bjf: hey [15:32] bjf: understood, thanks === josepht_ is now known as josepht === roadmr is now known as roadmr_afk === jsalisbury changed the topic of #ubuntu-kernel to: Home: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/ || Ubuntu Kernel Team Meeting - Tues November 11th, 2014 - 17:00 UTC || If you have a question just ask, and do wait around for an answer!
