[01:22] I'm mostly following what the charm docs say [01:23] woo! finally. state changed from pending to error. at least that is some info for me === kadams54 is now known as kadams54-away === kadams54-away is now known as kadams54 === kadams54 is now known as kadams54-away [02:39] skay: still around? We are about to kick off a UOS Juju charm school [14:59] if you want to ask questions please follow us in #ubuntu-uds-devops-1 [15:00] If you want to join us on the hangout please join here: https://plus.google.com/hangouts/_/hoaevent/AP36tYc0Jup3WIfx2y7xjN_n5r_CqEIPHfQALDK4M8cYEvra-yB17Q?authuser=0&hl=en === avoine is now known as patrick === patrick is now known as Guest95291 === underyx is now known as underyx|off === Guest95291 is now known as avoine [16:40] should new bugs for juju-core be filed on github or launchpad? [16:40] hatch: launchpad [16:40] hatch: but check for a dupe, I'm going to bet there's something along those lines before [16:40] yeah will do [16:41] thx [17:34] Where can I find a description of what "juju bootstrap -e maas" does on a server when it ssh's into it? I need a better "Theory of operation" understanding. [17:35] drbidwell: great question - is the debug output enough tog et you started or are you looking for a white paper style document? [17:44] The debug output that I have so far just shows that it did "ssh ubntu@host /bin/bash" and I have no idea what it is trying to do, if it is succeeding or failing. No idea what to fix to get it to work better. [17:45] lazyPower: is there way to get more debug outpout to tell me what it is doing and success or failure? [17:45] drbidwell: ah, just -v --debug - if you need more info i'll need to draw in a core developer [17:54] lazyPower: I have machines under MAAS which I can ssh to as ubuntu@host and sudo, but get litle feed back about what is really happening or not happening. I have changed the timeout from 30 minutes to 1 hour and to 2 hours with no difference in the results. Do I need to take this to the juju-dev channel? [17:54] drbidwell: I apologize for the delay in response -'m getting ready for my UOS track - I would suggest you invistage that avenue, and i'll circle back after the session(s) [17:55] *investigate [17:55] lazyPower: thanks [17:58] The next UOS session starts soon [17:58] Please join us here https://plus.google.com/hangouts/_/hoaevent/AP36tYekk8djMgop1pzFddjyTDy7plhXOwcKYregkciGjHoVC0aAXQ?authuser=0&hl=en [17:58] If you are interested in Juju charm testing [17:59] Join #ubuntu-uds-devops-1 if you have questions or want to participate [18:59] Anyone in Juju can join our session for charm helpers [18:59] https://plus.google.com/hangouts/_/hoaevent/AP36tYeP-0vXA_qvCTv1x9cIvBwcqZIs4SMygfqh1B2py0tqo8maag?authuser=0&hl=en [18:59] Please join us if you want to participate [19:00] #ubuntu-uds-devops-1 [19:00] on IRC [19:01] any free tutorials about juju ??? === kadams54 is now known as kadams54-away === kadams54-away is now known as kadams54 === kadams54 is now known as kadams54-away === liam_ is now known as Guest39243 === kadams54-away is now known as kadams54 [20:24] on 1.21beta1 where can I find out how to use the collect-metrics hook? [20:25] whit: hit up cmars and company [20:26] rick_h_, aight [20:28] marcoceppi, mind taking a look at this: https://github.com/juju/docs/pull/209 [20:30] JoshStrobl: he's at AWS re:Invent this week - it may be latent. I'll be happy to take a look when i'm out of this meeting [20:30] drbidwell: circling back - have you found a satisfactory answer? I have a lead to follow at least. [21:14] drbidwell: ok. with juju not properly provisioning on the maas node - it can be a slew of things. So i'm glad you're on a lead as to what it might be. [21:15] drbidwell: typically in my scenarios i've run into issues with networking, and that caused the issue - where the vlan in maas was improperly setup by me, so all apt-calls were failing, and juju wasn't able to bootstrap or do much of anything - and it hung during the bootstrapping phase. But that's anecdotal - and may or may not be related to what you're seeing. [21:47] Is there a way to reset a config option back to its default value via the cli? unset resets all options [21:50] wait nm :) === menn0_ is now known as menn0 === kadams54 is now known as kadams54-away
