gQuigsI'm trying to clean up the wiki, and I'd like to use the special pages to help https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WantedPages  /OrphanedPages /AbandonedPages, but they never load16:21
developerpenguinhey everyone :)16:22
developerpenguinim new to the team :)16:23
VelhoP4_man apt-get manual has translation deficiencies. the portuguese version in very complicated to read. Ive noticed that the english version is nice and simple. The translations seems to be done by google translate... can I check the manual in english, in my portuguese system?19:46
VelhoP4_also, hos can I report bad translations, and help to translate this (debian?) manual?19:47
pleia2VelhoP4_: looks like we pull that in directly from debian, you'll want to work with the debian translations team19:49
pleia2this page seems to document how translations are done in debian: https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/developers-reference/l10n.html19:49
pleia2I don't know anything about it19:49
pleia2Ubuntu's procedure is via Launchpad, very different from Debian19:50
sotiredofthesestw/r/t the email from Peter: isn't the point of setting a bug to "triaged" to indicate that someone trusted has looked at the bug, ensured that it's correct, and set a priority?21:06
belkinsapmatulis, ^^^21:07
sotiredofthesestBecause 1327173 doesn't have a priority set, but I think it is relatively clear what the next step is, so does it matter if it's not confirmed?21:09
sotiredofthesestPhrased differently: is confirmation a prerequisite for triage?21:10
sotiredofthesestI'd say that the line "A member of UbuntuBugControl believes that the report describes a genuine bug in enough detail..." from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Bug%20statuses doesn't necessarily imply that, but21:13
sotiredofthesest...ultimately,  does it matter for the sake of documentation?  Presumably people writing documentation are going through step by step in a clean VM and writing the steps they take.21:15
belkinsasotiredofthesest, you can also send this to the mailing-list.  There might be more people there to reply.21:15
sotiredofthesestSo that they would effectively be the people confirming it at they same time that they're fixing it.21:16
sotiredofthesestbelkinsa, not worth an email IMO, I'm just spitballing21:17
belkinsaIt is, because a discussion can evolve from it.21:17
sotiredofthesestThat was my subtle way of saying that I don't feel comfortable broadcasting it on a mailing list. ;)21:18
