sneyI have a new upload for hexchat that will satisfy LP:1396871, but I'm splitting up the package layout and apparently that means it'll have to go through NEW. I've heard that's slow currently - is that accurate, and is there any way to expedite the process?01:02
tumbleweedsney: any reason that can't go through Debian?01:03
sneyerm, probably not. brain fart01:04
tumbleweed(experimental, presumably)01:04
tumbleweedNEW is currently not that pretty https://ftp-master.debian.org/stat.html :(01:04
Noskcajsney, You may as well make a merge request for ubuntu, but try for debian experimental too01:15

MirvDebian's NEW has often been understaffed, but still that should not usually be too much of a reason to do Ubuntu-only upload11:49
Mirvhmm, well, another small obstacle is that hexchat is not LowNMU and has only a single maintainer, not a team (packages in Debian tend to be more strongly attached to specific maintainers than in Ubuntu)11:51
Mirvah, but, hexchat is at least in collab-maint git in Debian which is nice11:51
Unit193Mirv: sn ey is that one maintainer though. ;)12:24
MirvUnit193: ok, that changes the picture somewhat :D12:24
