Guest36006Are there any differences between click packages and PPAs for the core apps?20:44
akiva-thinkpadGuest36006, good question20:44
akiva-thinkpadGuest36006, what are you looking to do?20:45
Guest36006Specifically, I think I found a bug in the vivid PPA for Dekko but I'm not sure whether the standard process for filing a bug and submitting a fix applies20:45
akiva-thinkpadGuest36006, find the dekko launchpad page, and file it.20:46
akiva-thinkpadThe PPA for the core apps... is dormant often times20:46
akiva-thinkpaddormant and out of date20:46
Guest36006Ok20:47
Guest36006Hm, it's irritating that I can't use ubuntu-bug20:48
akiva-thinkpadGuest36006, hmmm? launchpad is better in my opinion20:49
* akiva-thinkpad checks for dekko20:49
Guest36006Since dekko isn't an "official" package, ubuntu-bug won't work with it20:49
akiva-thinkpadgrrrr... I hate google plus. Clicking on the web page makes my youtube reply go away20:49
akiva-thinkpadGuest36006, hmmm interesting20:49
Guest36006I  personally like initiating the process from the command line since it dumps a bunch of my sys info automatically20:49
DanChapmanGuest36006: hey :-D so dekko isn't actually supported in the core-apps ppa20:49
DanChapmanIt's click package only at the moment20:50
Guest36006DanChapman, oh huh, my bad20:50
Guest36006I thought that one of the engineering team kicked off a PPA pretty recently20:50
Guest36006Or do you mean it's "not supported"20:51
Guest36006lunch is ready, I'll be away for a few20:53
DanChapmanI was going to *try* and sort out the debian and cmake stuff to install everything in the correct locations. But i'm afraid it's a very low priority on my list atm. If there was a *genuine* need for it then it would be higher on my list. Although patches are welcome if you want it20:53
DanChapmanGuest36006: I will be getting i386 and amd64 click packages up to the store in the the next week or so, so you will be able to run it in the emulator or on unity next should you wish to try it that way :-)20:55
Guest36006DanChapman, I'll definitely give it a shot on UnityNext too.  Just to confirm, the .desktop file is locate in src/app/dekko.desktop right?21:03
DanChapmanGuest36006: yeah that's the one. atm the branch being built in the ppa is lp:dekko/0.3 and not the 0.4 trunk branch as that is basically broken while we implement the new UI21:09
