I am currently using the Plasma 5 Desktop in the brand new Kubuntu 15.04 Alpha 1 and it is working very well so far, so I plan to upgrade my current 14.10 installation when 15.04 is out. In fact I am liking it so much that I would like to help making it the best release possible. I know my way around with Linux, have tried several distros since 2011 but dont know any coding besides basic HTML. So I was [06:48] thinking if perhaps I could spare some of my free time helping with translations and documentation (or bug reporting if its not too hard for a newbie)? Thanks [06:50] excellent, kubuntu_ [06:50] we always need help packaging, testing, translating and especially with documentation [06:51] sorry for my ignorance, but how do I start contributing? [06:53] bad time of the day for packaging, since the devels aren't around [06:53] since you have 15.04 running, it would be very cool if you looked over the documentation and update it as needed [06:53] especially with new screenshots [06:54] http://userbase.kde.org/Kubuntu I believe [06:55] thanks Ill look into that! [06:55] so, I think what would be best is if you think a page needs changing [06:55] copy the old one, and make a new one from that [06:56] and then make a category: 14.04 LTS on the old one [06:56] category:15.04 on the new one [06:56] nice, thank you very much [06:56] so we won't lose our old pages, but you won't have to recreate except copy/paste [06:57] try it out, and see how you get on [06:57] also, join #kubuntu-devel [06:57] welcome to the team [06:57] thanks, my pleasure! [06:58] if there aren't many changes, we might be able to copy over the translations too [06:58] I don't know much about that part [06:59] basically I've ignored the docs for far too long; too busy with other stuff === seetherapy is now known as Freespirit-girl === zz_XeBlackWater is now known as XeBlackWater === XeBlackWater is now known as Guest17532 [07:37] Hi..
