Is this because its encrypted? If so how do i fix this problem? [01:27] Hello [01:28] Someone care to test a mac/osx like xfce theme? A user has been having problems with it, but we couldn't figure out what is wrong..... [01:29] When i installed xubuntu i encrypted my ssd and now im trying to install windows 8.1 OS and its saying i have no free space on my drive but it should be empty. Is this because its encrypted? If so how do i fix this problem? [01:29] It's actually just a modified version of Greybird, with osx titlebar buttons and a thicker lower-window border. Any screenshots of this on your system would be VERY appreciated ---> www.deimos.ca/miscjunk/greybird-mac.tar.gz [01:30] uh.... i mean http://www.deimos.ca/miscjunk/greybird-mac.tar.gz [01:31] untar to your /usr/share/themes, select in the window manager control panel, and take a screenshot :D :D [01:33] here's my screenshot ---> http://www.deimos.ca/miscjunk/greybird-mac.png [01:52] aloha [01:52] so, doing favour to a friend, who needs old machine "renewed" and adapted so his mother can follor something online [01:52] they have 200 gig ntfs data partition [01:53] I have 55 gig free [01:53] what partition scheme do you recommend for xubuntu for those 55 gig [01:53] double the ram for /swap and rest / [01:53] is that ok? [01:53] and should I use ext4 for / [01:54] also should I maybe separate /home to diff partition? [01:55] i would recommend a separate /home partition kasad and i would use ext4 [01:57] ext4 is really de rigeur for / [01:57] perhaps you were thinking of /boot [01:58] de rigeur? [01:58] so separate /boot / and /home [02:00] de rigeur = a must [02:00] /boot is optional, but better not to use btrfs for that [02:07] kasad: for swap, at least the amount of ram you have, maybe more depending what you want to do. [02:08] kasad: and yeah, a small primary partition for /boot, otherwise your system won't be able to boot on some motherboard/bios setups.... 1 or 2 GB should be enough for /boot [02:09] the rest you can simply leave for / ....unless you have some fancy configuration with several hard disks or something [02:16] if you want to install across, say 2 harddisks/partitions, personally i'd put the smaller one as / and the larger one as /home [08:35] Hello I am having trouble with Youtube displaying buttons while watching a video here is what it looks like http://s18.postimg.org/ubwi7clvd/Screenshot_12272014_02_29_39_AM.png [08:39] anyone? === artag_ is now known as artag === brainwash_ is now known as brainwash [13:45] I need wallpaper help. [13:51] maybe even upload a screenshot [14:04] I can change the background to one of the default files. but, if I change folders to say the download folder where I have some images downloaded the jpg files are disabled. [14:05] sunsetjessie: how are they disabled? [14:06] did you test different image types? === SonikkuAmerica_ is now known as SonikkuAmerica [14:07] an alternative approach would be to right click on the file in the file manager and set it as wallpaper [14:08] llet me try that [14:09] your problem does seem to be a common one. I've only heard about missing preview pictures in the desktop settings window [14:11] the right click idea worked, thanks Brainwash [14:11] great :) [16:54] hola [16:56] hello [17:20] What do I do now????
