darkxstNoskcaj, please test build before uploading to staging09:26
darkxstif you can't test locally then upload to your own ppa, and then copy binaries across one its successful09:26
darkxstthat said I should probably get my sbuild ppa patches upstream, that is gold!09:28
Noskcajdarkxst, ok, i'll go back to test building in my PPA. That will be fixed in the morning09:34
darkxstNoskcaj, that is better09:35
darkxstyou shouldnt be uploading anything without a test build, either jhbuilder/sbuild locally or a ppa ;)09:35
darkxstand binary copies between ppa's are quick anyway just takes 5-10mins for publishing09:36
darkxstsbuild is the best solution though, atleast when you have decent internet on dev machine09:38
darkxstI can build most things in a few minutes, provided all packages are cached (via apt-cacher-ng)09:40
darkxstthough that is building on a tmpfs(ramdisk)09:41
darkxstNoskcaj, also can you copy any of the few remaing 3.14 packages to gnome3 before replacing them with 3.15 ones09:48
darkxstricotz, you have a gtk 3.15 you can upload?10:19
ricotzdarkxst, there is a snapshot which can be copied, i guess11:09
ricotz(still some issues with those hiding scrollbars)11:10
darkxstricotz, no end of issues with scrollbars11:10
darkxstlarsu wants to switch to the upstream ones. but they look completely different11:10
ricotzdarkxst, i meant the upsteam "hiding-scrollbars" ;)11:11
ricotz(not those overlay-something)11:11
darkxstricotz, oh, but they are meant to be touch only?11:11
darkxstthe overlay things are evil, break CSS inheritance, whoever wrote them should be fired ;)11:12
ricotznot sure11:12
ricotzuploading the old 3.15.3 release makes not sense though11:13
darkxstricotz, would be fine to either upload a snapshot, or wait for next weeks update?11:13
ricotzidk when the next one is scheduled11:15
ricotzbe back after lunch11:15
darkxstricotz, I'll be off to bed, snapshot seems fine to me11:19
ljunggrenHi, can i ask you a question? i can install propriatary drivers for my AMD card on both Ubuntu, Kubuntu, xubuntu with no issues but when running Gnome it wont work. In the tty it jus says "fglrx: no module was found" Why would it be different when using gnome rather than unity/xfce?13:15
ricotzdarkxst, copied glade, gtk+ and valac snapshots13:24

octoquaddarkxst, Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to "Nominate for series"18:53
octoquadnvm, figured it out. Had to be in the ubuntu-gnome project to nominate :P19:09
octoquadsigh, I can only nominate for stable or development. I think I need to be a member of the Gnome 3 Team to choose a release.19:15
darkxstoctoquad, you probably need to be a member of bugsquad for that20:20
darkxstNoskcaj, core update is still stuck in proposed20:22
Noskcaj:(20:23
Noskcajdarkxst, looks like it got caught in the libical transition20:23
darkxstok20:27
darkxstricotz, thanks20:29
octoquadThanks darkxst. If I nominate a bug for series it says "Bug nominations are evaluated by release managers and accepted or declined for fixing in a series. The Ubuntu GNOME release manager is GNOME3 Team. " This is at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1218322/+nominate20:43
ubot5Launchpad bug 1218322 in gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) "Can't set keyboard layout change to alt+shift, ctrl+shift, etc." [High,Triaged]20:43
octoquadI don't have the nominate for series option if I view the bug here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/121832220:44
ubot5Launchpad bug 1218322 in gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) "Can't set keyboard layout change to alt+shift, ctrl+shift, etc." [High,Triaged]20:44
Noskcajoctoquad, Do you have triage rights? They are needed to nominate for series, IIRC20:45
octoquadYes I do, for Ubuntu Gnome, not Ubuntu though20:45
darkxstoctoquad, we don't use "nominate for series" on the ubuntu gnome project, since we can always set it on the ubuntu package20:46
darkxstyou can assign trusty milestone though20:47
octoquadOk, I currently have "Nominated for Stable... " under Ubuntu Gnome. I was thinking it would give me a list of stable releases in the next step, but it didn't. I can't remove it, can someone remove it for me. Sorry about that...20:49
octoquadthanks darkxst20:51
darkxstnp20:51
octoquadbtw, is the core3.14 ppa still needed once the updates land in vivid?20:52
darkxstno, it was just for testing before we updated20:53
octoquadI've been running it for a few days now and it's pretty solid. Nice work :)20:57
Noskcajdarkxst, Could you please add http://paste.ubuntu.com/9684553/ to ppa_versions22:11
darkxstNoskcaj, don't use the silly ubuntu paste!22:12
NoskcajWhat's wrong with it?22:12
darkxstit requires login to get the raw text22:12
Noskcajoh22:14
darkxstanyway done now22:20
darkxstand gave it a new home so you can push trivial stuff like that yourself (then I can just scp across to server)22:21
darkxstlp:~ubuntu-gnome-packaging/ppa-versions/trunk22:21
