[02:22] I believe this bug is a "Wishlist"/feature request. Could someone review and maybe add that status if you agree? https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/audacious/+bug/641947 [02:22] Launchpad bug 641947 in audacious (Ubuntu) "Can't open a file located on a Samba share" [Undecided,Confirmed] === IKRAM_ is now known as IKRAM === no_mu is now known as Nothing_Much === greyback__ is now known as greyback [13:42] hi... i am new xubuntu user (coming from freebsd because it does not support haswell graphics and Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless AC 7260, REV=0x144 on my shiny new laptop thinkpad t440) [13:42] pacija: welcome to the world of ubuntu and its variants! [13:42] thanx teward [13:43] now, i have problem with wifi in environments with multiple APs on same SSID [13:43] connections drop frequently, i have to manually restart adapter every now and then [13:44] pacija: totally obvious network question: how congested is the wireless network [13:44] are there lots of people using the access points at once? [13:44] (and I mean *lots* [13:45] perhaps a little disclaimer for the start: i am lead admin in fairly large company, so i am not total noob :) [13:45] nope, right now 4 of us on the same AP [13:46] pacija: still a valid question :P [13:46] 4 people atm [13:46] pacija: are you the only one having the issue or are the other 3 having the same issue with the connection dropping [13:47] others have no issue, also i have no issues when on windows (this is dualboot laptop) [13:48] there is ifconfig switch on freebsd which helped me on a few occasions when i had similar problems; -bgscan [13:48] which disables background scan for adapter, but i see no options here on xubuntu [13:48] i tried to tie adapter to just one AP mac so it does not wander off to worse AP [13:48] but no improvement [13:51] any advice how to fix it or at least advice how to file a bug? [13:53] i'd start by asking for help in the #xubuntu channel or the #ubuntu channel - if you get help and still have an issue with it, it might be dependent on whatever network manager is in the xubuntu variant (I don't use Xubuntu so I don't know offhand if it's network manager or some other utility) [13:54] ok, thanx for advice, i'll ask there. stay fresh! === roadmr is now known as roadmr_afk === roadmr_afk is now known as roadmr === roadmr is now known as roadmr_afk === roadmr_afk is now known as roadmr === roadmr is now known as roadmr_afk === roadmr_afk is now known as roadmr === meetingology` is now known as meetingology === mfisch is now known as Guest97735 === Ursinha_ is now known as Ursinha === FourDollars_ is now known as FourDollars === balloons is now known as Guest8667 === maxb is now known as Guest47523 === Pici is now known as Guest32967 === charles_ is now known as Guest52246 === elijah is now known as Guest92966 === dkessel_ is now known as dkessel
