glengaaaash. why is launchpad so damn complicated00:41
glenmilestones, series, releases!00:41
gleni can see them, but where do i add new of them!00:41
glenso i created new milestone hoping that will add new release, but no!00:42
glengrrr00:42
glenor whatever i did, it created new "series"00:43
dobeyglen: not sure what your problem is. a series is something like "trunk", "trusty", "utopic", etc… a series may have milestones associated with it, which certain bugs may be targeted at for fixing. and a milestone may have a release associated with it.03:24
sergio-br2Hi, can someone help me? https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/+question/26160205:22
sergio-br2I need to enable armhf build for ppsspp05:23
ePierreHi everyone07:44
ePierreit looks like Launchpad is down...07:44
ePierreaaaaaaaaaaand it's back :)07:44
wgrantOne of our firewalls was a bit unhappy, should be O Know.07:49
glendobey: my problem was that launchpad is not intuitive and too complicated. if i see list of "milestones" i have to google how to find place where to add "milestone" .. etc09:09
glenand the terms are not logical to me09:09
gleni understand "branch" and "release" (or "tag"), but milestone, series, meh?!09:10
glenand tickets, do i assign to branch? release? milestone? where do i i add one?09:11
glendobey: ps: i'm not hosting anything ubuntu related there. just some php based web application09:11
glenso, trusty and utopic mean also nothing to me09:11
glendon't even use ubuntu :)09:12

Mez_Just had a rejection for an upload of a package.  How can I find out where it was trying to be uploaded to, so I can berate the person for being silly.12:15
cjwatsonMez_: What did the message say?12:26
cjwatsonMez_: Oh, that one.  Whoever uploaded it tried to upload it directly to Ubuntu.12:28
cjwatsonMez_: But they then successfully uploaded it to https://launchpad.net/~1139158953-n/+archive/ubuntu/hxj-test/+packages instead, so they've clearly figured it out for themselves.12:29
cjwatson(Aside from rather dubious versioning.)12:30
Mez_cjwatson: yeah :) I'm now prepping a new package.  :) Don't want dubious versioning to force me to use another epick12:33
Mez_epoch *12:33
=== Mez_ is now known as Mez
cjwatsonMez: Shouldn't be any need for that.  You can ignore random stuff in PPAs.13:06
cjwatsonMez: Even if it were in Ubuntu and you decided to care, the worst case would be that you'd need to skip a version.13:06
Mezcjwatson: until it gains traction, is installed on a bunch of things, etc etc :)13:07
MezI'd prefer to get complaints about unneccesary epoch than "Random version not working"13:07
cjwatsonMez: This is a random test PPA.13:07
Mezcjwatson: oh, I know :)13:08
cjwatsonMez: And in any event 2:4.2.0-3 is safely greater.13:08
cjwatson(But shouldn't be needed, as I say.)13:08
MezMy new package is an updated upstream13:08
Mezso it'll superceded their dodgy numbering13:08
Mezs/ded/de/13:08
cjwatsonSure13:08
Mez(as in, this fail caused me to get into gear and update things properly)13:09
Mez(that and I've technically been MIA for a while, and have been poking things back on track over the last few weeks)13:09
cjwatsondpm: https://code.launchpad.net/~dpm/lp-get-ul10nstats/distro-support/+merge/234349 should be worth deploying now, I think.  The necessary Launchpad change has been deployed.16:19
dpmcjwatson, \o/17:19
dpmcjwatson, is there anything else I should do on my side to get it deployed? In any case, I'll reply to the RT17:21
cjwatsondpm: I can't think of anything for now.  Talk with webops17:27
dpmok, great, thanks!17:27
