cyphermoxapw: hey; I see you're assigned to bug 1383851 on the kernel side and you did some debugging for this already -- did you get any plymouth logs?14:17
ubot5bug 1383851 in plymouth (Ubuntu) "Cannot enter LVM encryption password in qemu with -vga std" [Medium,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/138385114:17
cyphermoxI'm debugging a "similar" issue in plymouth that I fortunately get on my system; found that https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=abd69c55dd8f1f71b33b8c6165217f4329db8f25 might help since plymouth reports it gets some values as 0 from the libdrm when they really shouldn't be at 014:19
cyphermoxI'm building a kernel with that commit right now to see whether it helps14:20
apwcyphermox, iirc the issue i was seeing was that plymouth was deciding the console was not a human one, so it did not need to connect the keyboard part to it14:21
apwcyphermox, so it was working but it was sure noone was out there to talk to14:21
cyphermoxwell, I'll no soon, running a new install with VGA and crypto right now14:21
apwgreat.  thanks14:22
cyphermoxwell, it just worked14:25
apwworking is good ...14:26
ogra_... vacation is better14:30
