pleia2next Xubuntu at article drafted here http://xubuntu.org/?p=296500:42
pleia2we need to find more orgs using Xubuntu, I've run out00:42
bluesabreochosi, ali1234: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-volumed/0.2.0-0ubuntu200:45
bluesabrepleia2: that looks good :)00:46
pleia2great, it's shorter than some of the others, but very direct00:48
bluesabrenothing wrong with that00:50
pleia2I'll publish on Monday or so00:50
Noskcajochosi, darkxst did the work for me, so we now have http://phillw.net/ubuntu-gnome/Xvivid410.html00:53
NoskcajIt will probably be renamed to http://phillw.net/ubuntu-gnome/Xvivid412.html01:02
Akusarihello  :-)09:17
elfymorning09:17
Akusarielfy: you wrote " nice little disk space usage bar turned up in thunar" which version is it?09:19
elfy1.6.509:20
Akusariahhh, thanks09:21
Akusariso, its a deb package in vivid?09:22
elfyyep an update in vivid09:30
Akusarithanks, wasn't an good idea todo a bling update in trusty :-P09:33
Akusariblind09:33
AkusariWell, maybe a backport to trusty is possible. I'll look on depencies and changelog. i have the bzr trunk already :-)09:36
brainvvashAkusari, https://launchpad.net/~xubuntu-dev/+archive/ubuntu/xfce-4.1209:45
Akusaribrainvvash thanks, sounds good09:49
Akusarihmmm, i don't see all thunar plugins shipped with this ppa. Maybe there are package collection changes. I'll test it on my dev vbox :-)09:53
Akusaribtw: if xfce 4.12 is out finaly, do you plan a trusty backport ? 09:54
elfyfor you xfce peeps - https://wiki.xfce.org/contribute points to xfce users mailing list12:07
elfythat gets a 404 12:07
elfyhttp://foo-projects.org/mailman/listinfo/xfce12:07
bluesabreelfy: lol12:58
elfybluesabre: I was just looking at your blog re 4.1213:00
elfyso followed the trail ;)13:00
elfyjust realised I can report that :p13:01
bluesabre:D13:02
bluesabrereported it up the chain13:02
bluesabreelfy: its fixed13:03
bluesabrethanks for your bug report :D13:04
elfy:D13:04
elfythat's funny - let me mark it fixed resolved 13:05
elfyI really should hang about in xfce-dev I guess 13:05
elfybluesabre: anyway - so if xfce wants people to test this stuff - I assume as vanilla xfce, which is best done where? 13:06
elfyand how on earth can you grab a bug list without specifying anything but date and not fixed? 13:06
bluesabreelfy: its easiest to test in vivid, we have everything there13:07
bluesabrethe bug list is tricky, you have to modify the url13:07
elfyjust as xfce session? 13:07
bluesabrexubuntu session should be fine actually13:07
elfyI hate bug lists - if I can't find something easily - report it, someone somewhere will facepalm and mark as dupe :D13:08
elfybluesabre: oh ok - so doing that anyway then :p13:08
bluesabrebut you can modify the url and drop all the extra fluff until you have product and resolution, like so13:08
bluesabrehttps://bugzilla.xfce.org/buglist.cgi?product=Exo&resolution=---13:08
bluesabreelfy: yup, xubuntu team is pretty invaluable for xfce testing since we always ship the latest13:09
elfyok - might add trawling through xfce bugs to my plan13:09
bluesabrethat and arch13:09

dkesselUnit193, others: yay for lowering the translation percentage - the german docs translation will make it into vivid now =)15:33
* dkessel will continue translating the remaining parts nevertheless :)15:33
dkesselif any of you want to steal my PPA recipe for the docs and add it to staging or something, that's fine with me too15:34
dkessel^ don't know who to ping ;)15:35
elfyneither do I :)15:36
AkusariI noticed that ppa xfec-4.12 includes xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin version 1.43. The official xubuntu-backports ppa for trusty is shipped with version 1.40 only. Version 1.43 includes only bugfixes and no functional change compared to 1.40. Suggestion: Copy version 1.43 to xubuntu-backports for all users :-)15:53
Akusarii'm using version 1.43 with trusty for a week now without any problems so far15:54
Unit193dkessel: Sure thing, doc.18:54

* bluesabre is22:12
knome00:03 knome: oh wow22:12
knome00:03 knome: our theme has been up for like 4 days22:12
knomei'm about to make it public soonish22:12
knomei need yes to check it once that's done22:12
bluesabresounds exciting :D22:13
knomeyes!!22:13
knomeok, done22:16
knomeplease look around22:16
bluesabrelooking22:17
bluesabreno hand-drawn computers?22:17
knomenot yet22:17
bluesabreknome: 14.10 release announcement points to the beta announcement22:18
knomeheh.22:18
knomefixed22:18
knomedamn caching :)22:19
* bluesabre wants to standardize the screenshot size for http://xubuntu.org/screenshots/22:20
knomehmm?22:20
knomeoh, heh, image aspect ratio?22:21
knomeit also shows images in a weird order22:21
knome:)22:21
knomeif you have a $bunch of shots for 14.04 and/or 14.10, put them somewhere and i'll grab an push them22:21
bluesabreI'll try to get a bunch of same aspect ratio in the next few days22:22
bluesabrehttp://xubuntu.org/blog/ is kinda left-heavy22:22
knomewfm22:22
knomeor cooperate with slickymaster 22:22
knomeoh, of course22:22
knomeneed to fix that next22:22
bluesabrehttp://xubuntu.org/donations/ is pretty22:23
knomemhm22:23
knomemany pages arẹ..22:23
bluesabrehttp://i.imgur.com/HMUq8RD.png22:24
knomei know i know22:24
knomejust didn't get to that yet22:24
bluesabre:D22:24
knomeshould be better already22:25
knomesearch widget still looks crappy, so not showing it22:26
bluesabreknome: very nice22:26
bluesabreno other appearance issues22:26
knomethis is all so nice22:26
knomethanks!22:26
knomei also tweeted about it, you might want to RT22:26
bluesabreindeed22:26
bluesabredone22:27
* knome bows22:27
bluesabreknome: actually, why no 14.04 screenshots at all?22:34
knomebecause old stuff22:34
knomewe are doing things in the new way (tm) now...22:34
knomei guess i could move the 14.04 screenshots to the screenshots page22:34
bluesabreits a lot prettier than the releases preceding it22:35
knomeheh, i would hope every release is22:35
bluesabreso, what do we want the standard screenshot resolution to be?22:36
knomei guess we want it to be in widescreen, most people use that now22:38
bluesabrealso, http://xubuntu.org/screenshots/oneiric_01/ (is the panel missing because that was the one with the seemingly innappropriate date)?22:38
knomei have no idea...22:38
knomei personally would dump all the old screenshots for now.22:39
bluesabreyeah22:39
knomewe can reupload them if we need/want to22:39
knomeprobably to an archive page or sth22:39
knomethe thing is,22:39
knomethe screenshots page used to be the archive page22:39
knomebecause we had the recent screenshots on the front page22:39
bluesabreah, right22:40
bluesabre1280×720 maybe?22:40
knomepreferably >1400 in width22:41
knomeor, tbe, 1400 or more22:41
knomethat's the max width specified for the site22:41
knomebut if they aren't, then no big deal22:41
knomebecause they should always be centered anyway22:41
knome..i guess22:41
bluesabre:)22:42
bluesabrenot sure > 1400 is a good idea with the recent burst in 1366×768 laptops22:46
knomeheh22:46
knomewell...22:46
knomedo 1366 then22:46
knomebut it doesn't really matter much22:46
bluesabrehttp://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_display.asp22:49
knomewell i mean website-technically22:50
bluesabreyeah22:52
bluesabrejust give me two numbers and I'll get on it22:52
bluesabre:P22:52
bluesabreand leave the VMs on my system in case we need to change22:52
knomewell any regular widescreen aspect ration, with the width being 1400 or larger is ideal22:52
knomebut if that's hard to do, 1366 or 1280 works as well22:53
bluesabrek22:55
* bluesabre will work on 1440x90022:55
knomenice, thanks22:55
* knome goes improve the download page22:56
* knome fixed the release announcement posts with images23:04
knomehttp://xubuntu.org/news/14-10-release/23:04
knomelooks nice and in line with the overall stuff now23:04

knometa23:50
knomeprocessing23:50
bluesabreI'll do a similar set for precise, and ~2-3 for utopic23:52
knomemhm23:53
knomefwiw, we currently have no way to order the images as we wish23:53
bluesabreoh?23:53
knomeshould probably think the right way (tm) to do that for 2.023:53
knomeyeah, currently it just orders based on time, newest first23:53
bluesabrewe can use touch on the screenshots to order them before upload23:54
knomei believe it's upload time, not file creation time23:54
knomebut that's an interesting idea.23:54
bluesabrenot sure how ugly the upload time in the wp db is23:55
bluesabreor just bulk upload in order when we get all screens23:55
knomeyes23:55
knomesomething like that23:55
bluesabreIt'll take a while for the others, but should have them for you by morning23:57
knomehttp://xubuntu.org/screenshots/23:58
knomeokay.23:58
knomei have no idea why they turned up like that23:58
knomeand in multiples.23:58
bluesabrelol23:58
