[FR]Daethk00:01
wxl[FR]Dae: you can test it if you want00:01
[FR]Daei have testing LXQT on Lubuntu 14.10 and now i don't have sound =D00:02
wxlyeah unfortunately i can't tell you we can adequately support you :)00:02
wxlthat being said, i encourage you to file a bug00:03

[FR]Daei'm sure the bug come to LXQT ...00:07
[FR]Daei'm the probleme, i'm sure on 90%00:07
wxlwell, let's go through the list00:07
wxl1. does the kernel pick up the hardware? `lspci -nnk | grep -i audio`00:08
wxl2. is there a kernel driver being used? `lspci -nnk | grep -A2 -i audio`00:08
wxl3. is there a problem with alsa? check `alsamixer` settings, make sure nothing's muted, play a .wav with `aplay`00:09
[FR]Daelspci -nnk | grep -A2 -i audi00:16
[FR]Daedae@dae-HP:~$ lspci -nnk | grep -i audi00:16
[FR]Dae00:1e.2 Multimedia audio controller [0401]: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) AC'97 Audio Controller [8086:266e] (rev 03)00:16
[FR]Daedae@dae-HP:~$ lspci -nnk | grep -A2 -i audi00:16
[FR]Dae00:1e.2 Multimedia audio controller [0401]: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) AC'97 Audio Controller [8086:266e] (rev 03)00:16
[FR]DaeSubsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company NX6110/NC6120 [103c:099c]00:16
wxlwell ok it sees the hardware, [FR]Dae00:17
wxlyou're missing a line on the 2nd one. should have been three lines00:17
[FR]Daepaste ubuntu00:18
[FR]Daehttp://paste.ubuntu.com/10458391/00:26
[FR]Daeok ?00:26
wxl[FR]Dae: well yay the kernel sees the hardware and you have a driver00:26
wxlwhether or not it's the right drive, i don't know, but i'll assume it is :)00:26
wxlso now check out alsamixer00:27
[FR]Daehow ?00:27
wxlopen up alsamixer and make sure nothing's muted00:27
[FR]Daenot muted00:30
wxland all the volumes are up?00:31
[FR]Daeyep00:32
wxl[FR]Dae: if you `aplay` some wav file, does it work?00:32
[FR]Daeon terminal ?00:37
wxlyeppers00:37
[FR]Daeor with audacious ?00:37
wxlwe'll check audacious next00:37
[FR]Dae...00:39
wxlso yes, terminal00:40
[FR]Daethe terminal play à file but00:40
[FR]Daeno sound coming00:40
wxlintersting00:41

[FR]Daei have watch à movie the last hour00:42
[FR]Daewith sound ....00:42

[FR]Daebut i have install some pkg and i need reboot00:54
wxl[FR]Dae: which pkg?01:01
[FR]DaeLubuntu-core =)01:01
wxlhow did you install lubuntu???01:02
[FR]Daei have Lubuntu01:02
[FR]Daebut i have testing LXQT01:02
wxlso you should have lubuntu-core01:02
[FR]Daeand i think it have del Lubuntu-core for same on LXQT01:03
wxlthat doesn't seem to make sense01:03
ianorlingrr lxqt-common seems to conflict with lubuntu-defualt-session which cause dependency problems with lubuntu-core01:34
[FR]Daeianorlin i have same probleme01:37
[FR]Daeand now i don't have sound =D01:38
[FR]Daewxl ? are you see ?01:38
[FR]Daeianorlin how do you this resolve your probleme ?01:43
ianorlinOne wierd workaround is you can install lxde which will also give you and lxde session but won't have the nicer defualts of lubuntu01:44
[FR]Daei think reinstall all ... maybe the best choice for gain time ...01:46
[FR]Daei think i do format and install again Lubuntu 14.10 for stop lossing time with all my bug (better ? )01:49
kojijeovohelp, I use lubuntu 14.0.2, and I use default lxterminal with irssi for irc04:04
kojijeovocan I somehow change key bindings in terminal, that switch tabs with alt + number, because this combination of keys is more important for me to work in irssi terminal program for irc04:05
remlineWhere is .config/lxsession/Lubuntu/desktop.conf? I can't find such a file.20:35
holsteinremline: i dont have a default lubuntu install in front of me.. what are you trying to do?20:37
remlinehttp://askubuntu.com/questions/299444/cannot-change-keyboard-repeat-delay-in-lubuntu-13-0420:39
remlineEvidently the GUI is bugged, but I can change the config file manually. Only I can't find the config file...!20:39
holsteinremline: are you using 14.10?20:40
holsteinremline: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxinput/+bug/989430 references where the "fixes" are..20:41
ubottuLaunchpad bug 989430 in lxinput (Ubuntu) "lxinput does not save character repeat values" [Low,Fix released]20:41
remlineI think I have 14.04, but I'm not positive.20:42
remlinePer the site, is .config/lxsession/Lubuntu/desktop.conf an absolute path, or is it relative to something?20:43
rwwit's probably relative to your home directory20:44
rwwlsb_release -a at the command line would tell you if you have 14.04 or not20:44
remlineDescription:Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS20:48
remlineThanks holstein and rww, problem solved. .config is a hidden folder and I failed to find it because I didn't know it was relative to ~20:51

remlineWhat is the keyboard shortcut for the Run command in the LXDE menu?23:45
remlineLet me re-phrase that. Per https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Lubuntu/Keyboard, Super+R is "Run program by typing in executable name". Why doesn't that work for me?23:53
ianorlinremline, there is also alt f2 does that not work?23:59
