darkxsttaharqa, btw bug 91825203:25
ubot5bug 918252 in gnome-shell (Ubuntu Trusty) "Weird window-manager behavior when running stacked monitors" [Low,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/91825203:25
Noskcajdarkxst, Isn't libedataserverui-1.2 get dropped? https://launchpadlibrarian.net/199774763/buildlog_ubuntu-vivid-amd64.evolution_3.15.91-0ubuntu1~vivid2_BUILDING.txt.gz05:58
darkxstNoskcaj, it was dropped on Jan 26, bought back on Feb 207:11
darkxst(from configure.ac)07:12
darkxstmaybe just a bad rebase pulling them back into configure.ac though (if the code is actually gone)07:12
darkxstNoskcaj, from a quick glance it logs like a new lib with the same name of the removed one07:17
darkxsts/logs/looks/07:18
taharqadarkxst: thanks for the last bug09:19
darkxsttaharqa, if you want to backport the fix, I can sponsor it for you ;)09:20
darkxst(into trusty)09:20
taharqa^^09:20
taharqaI admit this can be a good training09:21
taharqabut it seems the bug fix will occur on 14.04.3 ?09:21
darkxstits likely a fairly easy bug to fix09:21
darkxsttaharqa, that is for live images09:22
taharqaknowing that I never develop for gnome before ^^09:22
taharqadarkxst: ah ok09:22
darkxstthe fix usually take a week or two to land in trusty-updates (once uploaded they need to go through sru verification stage)09:22
darkxsttaharqa, but you have done development right? and the fix is there in the upstream report09:23
darkxstyou just need to apply it as a quilt patch to the ubuntu packaging for trusty09:23
taharqaso the fix is in gnome upstream, the goal is apply it on ubuntu fork right ?09:24
darkxstubuntu is not a fork, its just trusty has older gnome-shell09:25
darkxstso backport patch from upstream, to trusty gnome-shell (I think that 3.10)09:25
darkxstand then  package it, for upload09:25
taharqaI am interested to work on this , but I'll need a little help to understand repo code organisation09:28
taharqa^^09:28
darkxsttaharqa, have you ever done any debian/ubuntu packaging?09:29
taharqadarkxst: hum well ... no ..09:30
taharqaI read about it09:30
taharqabut there is always a first time ^^09:30
taharqadarkxst: do you think it will be too hard for a first time ?09:40
darkxsttaharqa, perfect for first time09:40
taharqacan you mentor me on this one ?09:40
taharqa"mentor"09:41
darkxstI can help you if you get stuck etc, so can Noskcaj and a few others in here09:43
taharqacool then, so where can I start right now ?09:45
darkxsttaharqa, first step would be setup build enviroment09:51
darkxsthave a look at sbuild-launchpad-chroot09:52
darkxstset that up, then try and build the current trusty shell package09:52
darkxstthen see http://packaging.ubuntu.com/html/getting-set-up.html09:53
darkxstthen read up on quilt and try and add that patch to the package and build09:54
taharqawill do this this evening , 10:55 here09:55
taharqaam09:55
darkxst9pm here09:56
cyberalex4lifeHello! I need a little advice on something.11:23
cyberalex4lifeIf I am not disturbing, my problem is as follows: I currently run on my laptop Ubuntu Gnome Trusty 14.04.2 upgraded with packages from  ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3 . I usually remove gnome-online-accounts evolution and empathy from my system. The very little problem I have now is that, when launching gnome-control-center from terminal, the title is "Gnome-control-center.real". Is there a fix/workaround for this?11:28
LinDolhi all :)12:45
l3onhere, 15.04 + gnome3-staging - cannot run gdm13:10
l3onI updated yesterday to systemd .. everything is fine if I exec lightdm13:10

NoskcajDo we want any of them?20:48
darkxstNoskcaj, the xfce changes are up to you guys21:33
darkxstubuntu links and time changes seem fine21:36
darkxstI'd probably stick with the new debian tracker though21:38
