It does show up in lsusb and it *does work* if I unplug and re-plug it, so I'm thinking it might be a xorg issue. Any troubleshooting tips? Ubuntu 14.04, 64 bit, i5 system, microsoft mouse. The mouse works fine in windows as well. [06:23] input issues are kernel bugs [06:23] try evtest, if you don't see events then that's a kernel bug for sure [06:23] or bios [06:23] xev didn't produce events [06:23] or hw [06:24] I'll try evtest, thanks [08:34] Yup, evtest doesn't list the mouse as an input device even though lsusb does show it. After unplug/re-plug it works. I'll check with #ubuntu-kernel === alkisg is now known as work_alkisg === work_alkisg is now known as alkisg [17:41] Why does X.Org Server run as root?
