sittershadeslayer: I kinda rewrote list-missing in superior ruby code, what do I do with it :O01:39
ScottKdebfx: Isn't it still useful for people using quassel with Unity?02:06
ScottKIf not, then sure.02:07
ScottKMirv: Not any more it's not.02:21
ahoneybunseems the nonfree drivers do not agree with the system03:57
Mirvthanks Scott!06:33
Mirvnow when infinity fixes the problems caused by gdal update Qt will actually migrate06:34
mitya57Mirv: first vtk6 tests need to succeed07:07
debfxScottK: maybe (if they didn't change the api multiple times on the way)07:12
debfxScottK: but the patch also disable the tray icon by default07:12
Mirvmitya57: yes, the vtk6 tests failing are caused by that gdal update..07:20
soeegood morning07:21
Mirvmitya57: I was puzzled first, but then I tried -proposed and saw the problem in packages depending on older gdal07:21
Mirvgood morning of a hopefully Qt day07:22
Mirvand then it turned out infinity is working on it, but it seems that he's not reverting but trying to complete the transition instead07:22
mitya57Ok, I should have read the full #u-devel backlog07:23
Mirvthere were also other adt issues but it seems CI folks went through retrying the unstable ones07:24
Riddellsitter: bug 953342 is fixed, I hope this makes your day joyful08:43

mitya57only 3 years08:55
Riddellsitter: is CI still in need of love?08:55
RiddellMirv: am I good to upload KF5?08:55
mitya57Riddell: please don't upload, qt hasn't migrated yet08:56
sitterRiddell: yeah, some games and plasmas need to be triggered, we have a script for that though08:57
sitterright now workspace appears to legitimately not build, so that's a bit of a blocker08:57
MirvRiddell: there was an unfortunate gdal transition starting, breaking one adt test and blocking qt. just a few minutes ago the adt test now passed so hoping for the best09:05
Mirvoh yay, it'd look like that initially09:06
Riddellsitter: did you have any thoughts on bug 1432343 ? you said you thought there was a race condition with ubiquity-dm ?09:08

sitterRiddell: the kxmlrpcclient you broke never was broken as you didn't merge kubuntu_unstable before doing your thing14:06
Riddellsitter: pardon?14:13
mparilloronnoc: Sorry, I missed these, but it seems as if last night's vivid upgrades were not kind to my VM on my $work laptop. I am brand new at this publicity thing, but I have been trying to focus on Kubuntu-specific updates, not the two main upstreams (KDE or Ubuntu), unless I see something directly related to Kubuntu.14:24
mparilloBasically, I try to hit the wire, G+, and twitter (directly, so I can embed an image, but I think the wire sends to twitter and planet KDE automagically). Facebook, most of the time, but I wash my hands afterwards.14:26
mparilloI think with the new site some are working on, an RSS feed from Kubuntu Wire to the news section would be nice.14:27
sitterRiddell: http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-kde/frameworks/kxmlrpcclient.git/log/?h=kubuntu_vivid_archive note that branch ancestry at the bottom. you twiddle the epoch in vivid_archive derived from master, then merged unstable, which was also derived from master but had changes on top of it14:27

Riddellmparillo: yes that link is fine but the images both link to themselves17:57
Riddellmparillo: they should link to same place as the text link17:57
mparilloHmmm, I never specified a link target for the images. 18:03
mparilloI wonder if the wire did that automagicaly.18:03
Riddellpossibly18:04
mparilloSo, I think I see it. Somebody told me that people click on posts most often when there is an image. So, I have been trying to do so. On the Wire UI, I upload a File, then Insert Media, and it includes a default URL and Title, with options for Caption, Alt Text, and Description.18:08
Riddellhmm strange18:08
Riddellyes including an image in a blog post is pretty important18:08
mparilloThe default URL is indeed right back to the image.18:08
Riddelljust text people skip over18:09
Riddellbut also people like to click on the images if it's a blog post about some other article so it's best to have that pointing to the article too18:09
mparilloSo, I have made sure the links in my text go where they should, but it did not occur to me that the images were also links (I think this is limited to the Wire, not G+, etc.)18:10
mparilloLet me see if I can fix my old Wire posts first.18:10
Riddellthanks :)18:11

ronnocIf I were new to Kubuntu and just wanted to try it, I wouldn't want an endless news feed about community stuff, I would just want the latest version and update news. That's just my opinion, ofc.21:31
ovidiu-florinWe can have 1 menu entry for official news, and one for Community news21:32
ovidiu-florinIMO we don't need 2 sites for this21:32
yofelthat ^. and I don't think we could really do that with drupal. Now we could merge the sites maybe21:32
ovidiu-florinyofel ronnoc hovet over the community menu: http://kubwp.kubuntu.co.uk/21:35
ovidiu-florinwe could have there a sub menu: Community News21:35
ovidiu-florinwhich will have what wire has + Feed from Social media21:36
ovidiu-florinOpinions?21:36
kfunkthat page is looking great, btw :)21:36
kfunkwhen you're done please do one for kdevelop.org, too21:36
ronnocWorth giving some thought to. I'm going to talk to mparillo about helping get material for the Wire, so hopefully it will become pretty active and social. Might be what Riddell envisioned when he mde it a separate site. 21:36
ovidiu-florinBTW kfunk thanks for marking my duplicate today21:37
ovidiu-florinI believe the separate site is a result of bad Drupal21:37
ronnocI second that - looks great. So under Community there will be included social media feeds + Wire? That seems like a good idea :) 21:39
ronnocI guess it's a good thing that the Wire is not all that old and established :)21:40
mparilloronnoc: I think that might work, but maybe we (big we, like a community) should think about what should go on the Wire. I have not been dumping KDE or Ubuntu items there, so it is not that active.21:42
soeeok updated sddm will reboot21:43
ovidiu-florinMaybe wire should stay a separate site from a security perspective.21:45
ovidiu-florinMore people should have access to publish there, and they don't need to have access to the main Kubuntu website21:45
ovidiu-florinBut we could restrict that with user based permissions21:45
ovidiu-florinWordPress has that capability21:46
soeeRiddell: sddm works21:46
ovidiu-florinOnly edit own articles, ony use that article category. I'm not sure about the second one21:46
soeeoh Linux Kernel 3.19.221:50
yofelgrmbl, why is firefox CSS rendering so buggy21:53
soeeoh ?21:54
yofelgo to the news page and look at the search field with >= 1000px page width21:57
yofelthe search button is below the input field21:57
soeewhat was the link to web ?22:01
yofelsoee: http://kubwp.kubuntu.co.uk/news/22:01
_Groo_anyone with PRIME can test sddm? at least in utopic ci, if i use sddm it doesnt activate the dedicated card, if you go with lightdm and do xrandr --listproviders,you get both cards, if you switch to sddm, only the discrete card is activated. i believe this is a bug in the way systemd calls X. can someone confirm this in utopic/vivid?22:04
_Groo_i can live with it for utopic, but if this behaviour is still present in vivid, its a showstopper for kubuntu22:05
ahoneybunBack22:05
soeeyofel: probably because FF includes border to element width22:07
yofelright...22:08
ahoneybunRiddell: ovidiu-florin how does the feature tour look?22:11
ovidiu-florinahoneybun: firefox screenshot still has shaddow22:12
ahoneybunI must have forgotten that one22:13
ahoneybunDarn22:13
ovidiu-florinare you editing the page now?22:13
ahoneybunNo I'm out eating at the moment22:13
ovidiu-florinThis content is currently locked. If you take over, Aaron Honeycutt will be blocked from continuing to edit.22:14
ovidiu-florinyou have the edit page opened22:14
ahoneybunI must have not logged out22:14
ahoneybunLet me check22:14
ovidiu-florinyou dont' have to log out22:14
ovidiu-florinjust close the edotr22:14
ovidiu-florineditor22:14
ahoneybunI shut the browser I think22:15
ovidiu-florinI took over22:15
ahoneybunOK cool22:16
ovidiu-florinahoneybun: feedback on the shaddow on the Gwenview screenshot22:18
ovidiu-florinplease22:18
ahoneybunOh OK let me load it22:19
ahoneybunPretty cool22:19
ovidiu-florinahoneybun: what's with all the DIVs in that post?22:19
ovidiu-florinwhy are they there?22:20
ahoneybunThe gwenview?22:20
ahoneybunNot sure22:20
ovidiu-florinI'd remove them22:20
ovidiu-florinthey seem uselsess to me22:20
ahoneybunI'm on mobile at the moment, I'll give more feedback once I'm home22:20
ovidiu-florinand only clutter up the HTML22:20
ahoneybunYea22:20
ovidiu-florinahoneybun: hint: if you have to use to get proper spacing, you're doing it wrong22:22
ovidiu-florinuse CSS22:22
ahoneybunNever did that22:22
Streamstormer_Groo_: How can I switch between intel and nvidia with prime in vivid?22:24
ovidiu-florinhave you copy pasted anything rfrom the old feature page?22:25
_Groo_Streamstormer: just do xrand --listproviders22:25
ahoneybunI believe I cleared it all out ov22:26
ahoneybunovidiu-florin: ^22:26
_Groo_if you are using sddm + vivid and you see more then 1 provider you are ok22:26
_Groo_if not, well then we have a problem22:26
ovidiu-florinahoneybun: did you start from scratch?22:26
ovidiu-florinahoneybun: doesn't matter, now22:26
Streamstormer_Groo_: nope I see only Intel22:27
ahoneybunovidiu-florin: I did22:27
_Groo_Streamstormer: answering your question, you dont "switch" between them, discrete is always used for display, and the dedicated for 3d rendering on the go, so if you want to play a game, or whatever you do DRI_PRIME=1 app22:27
_Groo_Streamstormer: and you have 2?22:27
ahoneybun_Groo_: I have a similar setup to Streamstormer 22:28
ahoneybunIntel video on board and a discrete nvidia22:28
Streamstormer_Groo_: yes a GM108M [GeForce 840M] (rev a2)22:28
_Groo_ahoneybun: ok do the following test, go to a terminal and do service sddm restart (i believe thats it), X should restart, then login to kde as usual and do xrand --listproviders22:28
_Groo_you should see 2 or more now22:28
_Groo_or systemctl sddm restart22:29
_Groo_dont know which one, didnt upgraded to vivid yet22:29
ahoneybun_Groo_: not home22:30
_Groo_ohhh wait, you guys have nvidia? i only tested this with intel/amd using the opensource drivers which have support for prime... nvidia uses optimus which is different22:30
_Groo_optimus switches between mesa for intel and closed source opengl for nvidia22:30
Streamstormer_Groo_: yes and this switch could be made in nvidia-setting. When I remember right22:32
_Groo_Streamstormer: and you need to restart X right?22:32
Streamstormer_Groo_: hower this is not possible in vivid22:33
Streamstormer_Groo_: yes22:34
_Groo_Streamstormer: different behaviour, with open source + prime you dont need to restart X, it just works by activating the card with DRI_PRIME=122:35
Streamstormer_Groo_: hm yes.22:36
ahoneybunI'm running beta 122:40
ovidiu-florinahoneybun: please also remove the white border from the Gwenview screenshot22:42
ahoneybunThere is no white border22:42
ovidiu-florinThen my chrome show's it to me 22:43
ovidiu-florineven though I don't remember seing it before22:43
ovidiu-florinsomething is wrong22:43
ahoneybunFirefox shows it too22:44
ahoneybunBut every screenie will show it22:44
ahoneybunWhen you add that shadow22:44
ovidiu-florinI think it's because of the shaddow22:44
ovidiu-florinahoneybun: yeah, I've found the problem22:45
ovidiu-florinthe images have a transparent margin22:45
ahoneybunYea22:45
ovidiu-florinahoneybun: can you remove them?22:49
ovidiu-floringood night All23:03
To24Hi! I would like to ask... is there a Firefox 36 adapted to KDE?23:22

Riddellyofel: please report those and file:/ to bug 142996023:36
