[08:27] <_ruben> question regarding preseeding and partitioning: is there a way to be fully in control of the partitioning/mounting process? [08:27] <_ruben> like run a script that does the partitioning, etc, and then then tell the installer which partition/lv to mount where === timchen1` is now known as timchen119 [13:58] cyphermox: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debian-installer/+bug/1434091 [14:03] davmor2: ack [14:05] cyphermox: I put indicator-keyboard as that is where I see it in the desktop more than it being the cause :) [14:06] err [14:07] I'll reproduce it in a bit to see what's up. I guess some packages might be missing in this case. [14:07] (or installed too much) [14:07] davmor2: you're getting the text-based installer, right? [14:08] cyphermox: yeap mini.iso is debian-install via netboot basically [14:08] just making sure :) [14:09] cyphermox: I assume it is adding the default language US and my user selected UK and not removing the US version as expected at a guess [14:14] yeah [18:13] Guess I'll repost. [18:14] Question about oem-config on 12.04.5 server (x86_64). I am doing a PXE installation with preseed to preload the base server installation, development environment needed by our customers, and our sdk. After install, we boot in, temporarily disable oem-config (rm /var/lib/oem-config/run), then run a series of system tests. Last thing we do is reenable oem-config and reboot to make sure it comes up [18:15] Our customers report that it doesn't prompt for a password when creating a new user. I have reproduced that here, and also discovered that not only does it not prompt for a password, but it copies the password for the lab account we create during the preseed installation. [18:15] Verified by comparing the password hashes in /etc/shadow. [18:52] I'll try to file a bug, but ubuntu-bug crashed (wheeee). [19:03] ls ~/tmp [19:06] (wrong window)
