=== ahoneybun_ is now known as ahoneybun [00:19] back [00:19] AT&T wifi sucks [00:25] ahoneybun: I live on an acreage, I'm stuck on wimax === ahoneybun_ is now known as ahoneybun === ahoneybun_ is now known as ahoneybun === tuv0k is now known as darthanubis [06:23] i am continuing the installation from yesterday from where I left off. The installer was unable to configure network-manager because there had been a manual change to some file (/etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/01ifupdown) which was irrelevant but it caused the installer (dpkg --configure -a, given by apt-get install -f network-manager) to prompt for an answer. [06:24] apparently the installer (that was launched from muon-updater) cannot handle prompts, but the "Show Terminal" button was unresponsive. [06:24] xennex81: usually one just does `apt-get install -f` with no arguments [06:24] I see but it had the same effect I believe :p [06:24] or these days, apt install -f [06:24] in any case it told me to go fix it with that other command :P [06:25] oh [06:25] :) [06:25] there has been a recent change in network-manager, at least at the lib level [06:25] I've seen updates for maybe 3 days in a row [06:27] none right now though [06:27] xennex81: do you have any PPAs added? [06:28] no I have already shown my sources.list to Lordievader yesterday, but that was not the issue I believe [06:28] I just had done some manual changes, it prompted me also for 2 other things. [06:31] what manual changes? [06:31] and remind me -- you are upgrading from 14.10 to vivid beta? [06:46] the change to network-manager was merely an insignificant change to ifupdown, the chaining script to /etc/init.d/if-up.d/ or none at all. I don't know even, I don't remember editing it for a change. [06:46] but I did not check for the changes, I was a bit too hasty for that just now. [06:52] ok, you probably need the experts such as yofel to appear online [06:52] or maybe lordievader [06:57] not necessary [06:57] it's not for me, for them [06:57] i'm just wanting to report a bug but the report tool doesn't work :P. [07:02] for a launchpad bug, try `ubuntu-bug packagename` in the cli [07:02] most excellent way to file a bug [08:00] valorie: it fails [08:01] but I've filed a bug report about ubuntu-bug failing to file a bug report, if that's what you need to know [08:03] going to reboot now and see if I still have a sytem ;-). [10:07] you can't jump from 14.04 indeed === PaulW2U_ is now known as pw2 [10:15] hm, should still theoretically be possible, even if currently unsupported (after all you eventually have to be able to upgrade to 16.04 from 14.04) [10:15] but it's at least completely untested [10:57] do you gyus also see the header image moved to the left?? http://kubwp.kubuntu.co.uk/ [10:59] soee: ^ [10:59] ovidiu-florin: yes, due to added img-responsive class, that gives the mage display: block; [11:00] soee: so remvoe that class?
