checheHi, I am using lubuntu14 and I am able to browser windows network share using PCManFM. so far so good.01:41
chechebut If I Copy the link of that windows share on the desktop. I get an error. No default application to open smb:// URL01:42
checheHow I do Fix it?01:42
checheI just one to have a Network share link on the desktop to access a samba share.01:42
chechelooks like this could solve my problem https://sourceforge.net/p/lxde/mailman/message/30713440/02:15
checheadding MimeType=x-scheme-handler/smb; on /usr/share/applications pcmanfm.desktop02:18
checheupdate-desktop-database to update cache should fix this issue02:18
checheShould I open a bug report?02:22
Kamilionlook for an existing one first02:27
KamilionHonestly, I never noticed that bug; as I tend to type out my smb://<host>/<share>/ urls and browse further from that point.02:29
Kamilionbut that is definitely something that I would like to work, if it's not already working02:30
checheKamilion: just copy a link to the desktop02:35
checheKamilion: browse to the windows network share and drap&drop to the lubuntu desktop.02:37
checheit just be just enought to triger that bug.02:37
KamilionI understand the reproduction instructions03:04
checheKamilion: ? I did not want to offended anyone.03:06
KamilionNo worries, no offense taken.03:06

orakarHey guys, anyone mind helping me with an issue with eclipse and lubuntu? Really annoying me and getting no replies in the ubuntu forums20:06
ianorlinorakar: I don't have any expirence using eclipse but can you describe your problem in detail20:06
orakarAbsolutely! Basically, ubuntu screws up the scroll bars with eclipse, and I fixed that on my main machine with LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=1 either as a terminal argument or in the application file20:08
orakarBut the same fix doesn't work on lubuntu.20:08
ianorlinorakar: do the scrollbars work on other applicatoins in lubuntu the default theme has thin scrollbars20:08
orakarIt's still displaying the thick white scroll bars (permanently) which ruins my dark theme and takes up precious screen space20:08
orakarBy default, all apps are using the white thin scroll bars that I want to remove from eclipse20:09
orakarI want the thin orange scroll bars20:09
orakarI'd be just as happy with just disabling the scroll bars for eclipse too!20:10
ianorlinorakar: in lubuntu scrollbars are chosen by the gtk theme in customize look and feel under prefrences20:12
ianorlinI don't know of one with orange scrollbars for lxde20:12
orakarIs there no way to change just the scroll bars, rather than the entire theme? Or even just the scroll bars for one application?20:14
ianorlinorakar: you could modify the theme and create a new one20:14
orakarianorlin: OK, I'll look into it, thanks! I guess there's no way to have a different scroll bar just for one app20:15
rexusHello all, if we just completed lubuntu installation, it means all the network setup would be controlled by NetworkManager right?23:59
