vthompsonbzoltan, zbenjamin, My ubuntu-sdk instance has recently started to freeze when started. I've tried to remove and purge the package and reinstall with no luck. The following is what I see in the logs: http://paste.ubuntu.com/11017643/  Can you give me a hand? Should I remove my kits? If so, how?00:52

vthompsonbzoltan, zbenjamin Well, I figured it out. I started looking for files in ~/.config to purge (hoping to find bad kits) but saw that I had a ~/.config/QtProject/QtCreator.ini.lock file that had been left around. I removed the file and the IDE started. I'll file a bug, QtCreator should handle a stale lock file more intelligently than simply hanging indefinitely.01:11

bzoltanvthompson: That is a strange issue. It is definetly an upstream bug, but it is good that you have filed against the plugin.03:45
vthompsonbzoltan, if you could file upstream that'd be great. Thanks!03:47
zbenjaminbzoltan: is that maybe what you had as well?06:38
bzoltanzbenjamin:  not impossible06:38
zbenjaminbzoltan: he filed against the uitk should i retarget it to qtcreator?06:38

ts__ok, i do that06:43
ts__Couldn't find the 'Settings' ..where will I find it06:45
zbenjaminbzoltan: https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-2173906:46
zbenjaminbzoltan: seems that one is fixed in Qt 5.4.006:46
bzoltants__: That is teh Settings app06:47
zbenjaminbzoltan: ah no that patch actually introduced the problem06:47
ts__ah , gr8..founded it , dev mode is indeed disabled. Is this something new introduced in ubuntu 14.10..? never noticed that before06:50

bzoltandholbach:  for me the PPA version already solved the problem10:04
dholbachbzoltan, right, this is for sru verification10:06
dholbachI'd be much obliged10:07
dholbachthe fix is in -proposed and we need a verification for it to go to -updates :)10:08
bzoltandholbach:  OK, I disable my PPAs ... reproduce the bug, enable the -proposed and verify the fix.10:17
dholbachbzoltan, not necessary - I think it's enough to just install 0.25.1 from launchpad10:22
bzoltandholbach:  I went on the official way :) disabling the SDK PPA put back the stock c-r-t from vivid archive and the SDK throw an error when made a 15.04 app for 15.05 device. I enabled the vivid-proposed  and it pulled the 0.25.1 c-r-t what fixed the issue.  GREEN LIGHT :)10:30
* dholbach hugs bzoltan10:34
bzoltandholbach: :) we need this fix badly. Thanks for pushing it.10:35
dholbachno worries10:37

zbenjaminnik90: i just played a bit with how we could do the structure for the UCS components13:31
zbenjaminnik90: it is possible , but the components need to make sure the sourcetree is in the correct structure to make everything (incl code completion) work13:32
zbenjaminnik90: i'm going to build you some examples13:32
nik90zbenjamin: awesome, thnx. We will communicate that to component developers via our docs and also ucs checks13:33
zbenjaminnik90: we probably will need to access and change the root project file though. Maybe we can work some easy to solution out13:34
zbenjamin-to13:34
nik90zbenjamin: you mean we need to modify the .pro file of the project?13:34
zbenjaminyes13:34
zbenjaminnik90: but i'm still thinking about possible solutions to this13:35
nik90ack.13:35
zbenjaminnik90: we probably need to do some brainstorming next week13:35
nik90ok, I am playing around with qmake projects to get myself acquainted with it.13:35
zbenjaminnik90: btw if you guys do some UI to search the ucs , make sure its embeddable. Would be cool to have the same UI everywhere13:35
zbenjaminlike a library or so13:36
zbenjaminor component :D13:36
nik90zbenjamin: at the moment we only provide a command-line utility via the ppa, but yes a GUI is something we might come up with later.13:37
nik90zbenjamin: ideally we will use the same components that ubuntu-sdk uses to display the devices tab to ensure we can backport it to LTS13:37
nik90s/components/qt-version & ubuntu.components13:37
tsstill sdk unable to connect to emulator device.13:44
