AbluHello. I followed https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/PPA/Uploading to upload a new version of my ppa. The upload went without errors. But I do not see the uploaded package anywhere? Shouldn't it be pending for build somewhere?06:08
wgrantAblu: Which PPA?06:09
Abluwgrant: ah sorry: https://launchpad.net/~mapeditor.org/+archive/ubuntu/tiled06:10
AbluI uploaded a 0.12.2 build06:11
wgrantAblu: What was the command you uesd to upload it?06:11
Abluhttp://sprunge.us/TSbP06:12
Ablueh06:12
Ablui missed the destination....06:12
wgrantYeah, uploading to Debian isn't going to get it very close to your PPA :)06:12
Abluhm. now i get:06:13
Ablu~/ppa/tiled $ dput ppa:mapeditor.org/tiled tiled_0.12.2-1_source.changes06:13
AbluNo host ppa:mapeditor.org/tiled found in config06:13
wgrantDebian's /etc/dput.cf probably doesn't have a destination pre-configured for Launchpad PPAs.06:13
wgrant[ppa]06:13
wgrantfqdn   = ppa.launchpad.net06:13
wgrantmethod   = ftp06:14
wgrantincoming  = ~%(ppa)s06:14
wgrantlogin   = anonymous06:14
wgrantPut that in your ~/.dput.cf06:14
Abluok... this is fedora. thatm ight explain it06:14
Abluthanks06:14
wgrantOh, I assumed Debian from the dput default.06:14
Abluwgrant: hm. the error stays06:15
wgrantAblu: It may be that your version of dput doesn't support the : variable expansion syntax.06:16
wgrantWhich version of dput are you using?06:16
Abluwgrant: dput 0.9.606:17
wgrantIf it doesn't support variables you'll need to add a section specific to your PPA.06:17
Abluwgrant: yep that seem to do the trick06:17
Abluwgrant: where can i see the build now? :)06:18
wgrantAblu: Nowhere, because you signed it with a key that isn't associated with your Launchpad account.06:19
Abluuhhh06:19
wgrantpub  2048R/971DDA82 2012-02-03 Erik Schilling <ablu.erikschilling@googlemail.com>06:20
wgrantIs the only one that LP knows about06:20
Abluhm. i no longer have that key on this machine. I will add my new one06:20
wgrantIn fact, I don't see CECFA1C9 on the keyservers at all.06:21
Abluwgrant: i just uploaded it. do i need to upload it to a specific server or is gpg --send-keys enough?06:22
wgrantAblu: Launchpad uses keyserver.ubuntu.com, which syncs with the main SKS network, but I don't know whether your gpg's default keyserver is in the network.06:23
wgrantAnd it will take some time to replicate.06:23
wgrantI'd give it --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com for expediency.06:23
Abluheh. it took a while until i was able to enter the key fingerprint into the add gpg form. now i got the mail and when i click the link in there it tells me that it cannot find the fingerprint again :P06:30
wgrantAh, give it a couple of minutes to settle down, perhaps.06:31
wgrantThe internal keyservers may be slightly out of sync.06:31
wgrantMight also work if you submit a few times.06:31
Abluwgrant: would i have been able to figure out that i was using the wrong key somehow on my own btw?06:33
AbluThe upload did not trigger any error06:33
wgrantAblu: No, that's the one case which we can't notify you about, because the person we email is the signer.06:33
wgrantWe can't just trust any old email address in an unauthenticated FTP upload.06:34
wgrantThe general rule is that if you don't get an email after 10 minutes you probably didn't sign it with something that LP knows about.06:34
Abluwgrant: allright. I am now having some other issues specific to my ppa package. But I should be able to resolve those on my own :)06:36
wgrantAblu: Yeah, in this case your changelog is wrong.06:36
Abluthanks a lot for the quick help! Have a nice (long?) weekend06:36
wgrantYou've specified unstable, a Debian release.06:36
Abluyeah i copied it from debian06:36
wgrantBut it needs to be an Ubuntu release (eg. trusty).06:36
wgrantAnd no, I'm in Australia, no holiday on Monday :)06:36
Abluis there a trick to build this for all ubuntu releases btw? I always ended up doing search / replace for all the versions i want to build06:37
Abluah. too bad ;)06:37
wsnipexhi. it seems as dependency resolution for ppa builds is broken when multiple alternatives for build deps are given.07:55
wsnipexit seems launchpad (or sbuild) now only tries to use the first alternative build dep07:57
wgrantwsnipex: An upgrade last week means it'll only consider the first package in each alternate relation. That should be fixed on Monday.07:57
wsnipexwgrant, ok, thanks. thats exactly the issue I was seeing08:06
pmjdebruijndid the ppa build farm get an update recently?17:56
pmjdebruijnhttps://launchpadlibrarian.net/207282472/buildlog_ubuntu-trusty-amd64.darktable_1%3A1.6.6%2B77~g872761a-0pmjdebruijn1~trusty_BUILDING.txt.gz17:56
pmjdebruijnI have build failing using dependancies I've been building for a while now17:56
pmjdebruijnit would seem libgphoto2-6-dev | libgphoto2-2-dev isn't being resolved properly17:56
cjwatsonpmjdebruijn: Yes, a fix for that is queued for another rollout next week.18:24
cjwatsonpmjdebruijn: We upgraded across about 10 years of sbuild development, and missed a little bit.18:25
pmjdebruijnah18:27
pmjdebruijnthanks18:27
cjwatsonSorry for the inconvenience.18:27
cjwatsonWe'll probably go through and bulk-retry dep-waits after the rollout.18:28
pmjdebruijnright18:28
pmjdebruijnany clue whether it would be early or late next week?18:28
pmjdebruijntentatively :)18:28
cjwatsonHopefully early, seeing as it's a regression.18:29
pmjdebruijnthat would be much appreciated18:30
cjwatsonI put the ticket in on Friday for our sysadmins to upgrade the staging builders.  I'll be off on Monday since it's a public holiday, but will push it on Tuesday if it's not done by then.18:30
