[09:52] 7 [09:52] eish! [09:52] brrrr [09:52] lol ja dis nie lekker nie [09:52] OK Kilos ek gaan groet, mooi loop en geniet die dag [09:53] selle daar my vriend [09:53] dankie [10:11] Hello! [10:42] o/ [10:42] hi gremble [10:58] Hey Kilos [10:58] How are you? [10:59] good ty and you ? [11:01] I am well thanks you [12:00] Afternoon [12:00] hry Squirm [12:00] Hurry when gremble? ;) [12:01] :P [12:02] All the time [12:04] These rodents are in such a hurry that when they stop for too long they die https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Etruscan_shrew [12:09] lol [12:10] we are having a rat plague atm [12:17] time to get some pet owls [12:19] there are a few around, but rats are in ceilings and every store, [12:19] where are you? :p [12:19] eat my strawberries before they are fully ripe, grrr [12:19] west of pta [12:37] Kilos: Get yourself a big stick and go hunt them [12:37] Just don't use poison [12:37] It'll kill your snakes and birds of prey [12:38] there is a differerent poison now that makes them bleed to death, i think that one is ok for anything that eats the carcases [12:38] more cats :p [12:39] na they stupid things, they stand and meow for milk and cat food then sleep all night [12:39] rather chase birds [12:40] Rats tend to be big for house cats. [12:43] Kilos: poison sometimes leave residue in the bodies so I wouldn't trust it. Kill the rats also don't really allow for control of the population. If you kill the rats that control the territory, others just move in. A better idea would be to catch them and steralise the males I think. (which would be reasonably easy) [12:43] only cats that kill rats are those you dont feed [12:45] hahaha im not going to all that trouble, we found some good stuff, but i think its also been banned now [12:45] rat glue [12:45] you spread it on a plank and put some cheese in the middle, they stick to glue and one can use a hammer [12:45] hehe [12:46] and rat traps catch many too [12:46] Alright then... [12:46] very gluey glue [12:46] Squash time [12:46] *gone [12:47] if you put your hand in it you lift the whole plank [12:47] real cats not wussie ones :p [12:47] or lock them in the ceiling and don't let them out until they've manned up :p [12:47] lol [12:48] these are meneer rats, they eat half the plastic handle off a screwdriver [12:49] haha [12:57] In Alexandria there is a problem with rats killing and mutilating children [12:58] Rats are a bigger issue than we would like to think them to be [13:03] i nkow they are a bad pest, eat the plastic off electric wiring and so on in the ceiling and eat holes in ceiling to get down into house [13:03] yeah apparently fear of owls and delibritely poisoning them isn't helping either [13:03] terrible things [13:05] there arent enough owls. one rat every 2 days or so does nothing to cut them down [13:05] i think they can have about a dozen babies at a time [13:05] worse than pigs [13:07] Pest control is not necessarily about killing them faster than they reproduce. If that was the only way we had at our disposal, rats have won already [13:08] we need pied pipers [13:16] To lead away the children? [13:16] no man the rats [13:17] didnt the pied piper of hamalin lead the rats away? [13:17] hamelin [13:17] that place [13:17] Maaz google pied piper of hamelin [13:17] Kilos: "Pied Piper of Hamelin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pied_Piper_of_Hamelin :: "Robert Browning: the Pied Piper of Hamelin: the complete text" http://www.indiana.edu/~librcsd/etext/piper/text.html :: "The Disturbing True Story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin | Ancient ..." http://www.ancient-origins.net/myths-legends [13:17] /disturbing-true-story-pied-piper-hamelin-001969 :: "Pied Piper of Hameln" http://www.pitt.edu/~dash… [13:29] He stole the children too [13:30] :P [13:30] oh ok [13:30] lol [13:44] http://archive.linuxgizmos.com/ubuntu-based-netbook-hits-south-africa-at-188/ [13:44] who is gonna remember that next time someone asks [13:45] eish , so tiny [14:55] Apparently you can get certification to write XML [17:37] grrrr power went for a while [17:54] ohi superfly [17:54] hi alphad [17:54] and ambo [17:54] no grumpy pro here tonight [17:57] night shift ThatGraemeGuy ? [18:58] http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/11311958/ [19:00] looks like a bug exists... https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tzdata/+bug/1435593 [19:00] Maaz kilos.newblog is http://kilosubuntu.blogspot.com [19:00] Kilos: I already know stuff about kilos.newblog [19:00] ai [19:01] easiest is to try borrow another dvd drive or maybe an external [19:02] i dunno if apples can boot from usb [19:03] inetpro http://kilosubuntu.blogspot.com [19:04] oh my sorry captine i just read all the story [19:06] np [19:06] need to look for second hand lenovo [19:06] captine have you got synaptic on there? [19:06] yip [19:07] try i think in edit there is a choice called fix broken [19:11] tell me what you see captine [19:11] fix broken claims success [19:11] however, tzdata still an issue [19:11] might be something broken with my python [19:11] try sudo dpkg --configure -a [19:11] just cannot apt-get upgrade or install etc [19:12] oh [19:12] hmm... i had that prob once [19:13] that command give me. [19:13] Can't locate POSIX.pm in @INC (you may need to install the POSIX module) (@INC contains: /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/i386-linux-gnu/perl/5.20.1 /usr/local/share/perl/5.20.1 /usr/lib/i [19:13] no that rings a bell but it wasnt the cure iirc [19:13] meant perl not python [19:13] lol [19:13] hmm... [19:14] where are the clever guys when you need them [19:14] dont stress.. going to try external cd drive again. am hoping the usb port was just not strong enough to power it fully [19:15] i would do sudo touch /forcefsck and reboot and watch what it finds [19:15] hasnt the cable got 2 plugs at one end [19:21] yip [19:21] onlu used the one [19:21] lol [19:21] lol the second one is there for more power and also increases spead [19:22] when i do "locate POSIX.pm" i get a location, however the file is not visible in the folder [19:22] anyhow, need to get some sleep. thanks for the help. will be back asap [19:23] night all [19:23] hight captine [19:32] Wow, look at Kilos giving fsck advice. :P [19:32] lol [19:32] everyone fights me when i give that [19:32] Nah, that's fine. hehe.
