We have just landed support for a local in app address-book which you will be able to import from the contacts app as well as .abook (for mutt users out there) or a simple CSV file you usually get from webmail clients.
[12:05] <DanChapman> Also adding them back to the contacts app can be included but we have that nasty content-hub step in the middle  and keeping them in sync will always be a manual job
