[12:43] <iri> I've just installed 15.04, but when I sign in I get a blank desktop and I have to start xterm manually from the VT and then xfce4-session manually from that xterm
[12:43] <iri> My ~/.xsession-errors contains "openConnection: connect: No such file or directory", "cannot connect to brltty at :0" and loads of "upstart: upstart-event-bridgge main process (pid) terminated with status 1" followed by "It's respawning too fast, stopped"

[12:45] <iri> also, every time I login by start xfce4-session in my blank xorg, I get prompted to authenticate for action org.freedesktop.accounts.change-own-user-data - does anyone know what that's about?
[12:53] <iri> non of the usual places I would look seem to have much in the way of useful diagnostics, dmesg looks clean, as does /var/log/syslog.
[12:53] <iri> When I logout, it gets stuck and I have to kill xorg
